The Reviews about Amaranth (page 18/ 20)
------ performed by Nightwish

Superb! Flawless songwriting! | Reviewer: Darth_jason | 9/3/07

Of course, I love female fronted rock/heavy bands. I have always been a fan of Nightwish, and as many other couldn' think in a replacement for Tarja. We had pondered on oter famous singers, such as Simone Simons from Epica or Vibeke Stene from Tristania, even Liv Kristine, ex-Theatre of Tragedy. However, fellow musicians, friends and I agreed that the new singer should not be anything alike Tarja. The new singer would be constantly compared to Tarja, but Tarja is incomparable, she's one of a kind. When new singer was revealed and at last heard Amaranth, i found the singer quite shocking! I love her voice! Actually I think I like Nightwish more than before!
In any case congratulations to Nightwish, and lets hopre they keep up the good work, and that sworn Tarja/Nightwish fans give Anette a chance!

Great! | Reviewer: Gatita | 9/3/07

I actually like her! she does have a VERY different voice than Tarja's...a sweeter voice, and I kinda thank that. The only thing that bothers me, it's her head movements, that's kinda popish. Besides, she sooo pretty!

the best is still to come | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/28/07

I have never been a huge Nightwish fan.. of course I liked Nemo, Walking in the air ect.
Now that i heard this song i think Anette has bring some balls to the band. These two have totally different style and i really can´t compare them.. i think that the band got something it needed to conquer the whole world.. I wish all the best to the whole band... make us Finns proud baby!

The begining of a new Era | Reviewer: Cold Shadow | 8/28/07

When I first heard the song and watched the video, i didn't like Anette's voice and also Anette herself- she sounded and looked like a young girl, who doesn't respect the name of Nightwish. Then I listened the song a few more times and I realised how fresh and nice her voice sounds. She gives a total new face on Nightwish's music. Of course she is not like Traja, but why should she be like her? The band found it's new sound and it's not worse than the the old one, so for us, the fans, there's nothing left but enjoy the music with the new vocals. This song brings us in new Nightwish Era Now I'm looking forward for Nightwish new CD- I'm sure it'll be great!

great job!!! | Reviewer: bloody valentine | 8/28/07

well, nightwish is born again!!! im their 'ancient' fan and i need time to get used to changes as well as others but i respect their decision, especially of tuomas about anette she drfinitely fits this band, completely different style. yeah of course tarja had very strong and amazing voice but she is just the past and anette is a future of this band. lets give her chance she has beautiful voice. great job!!! happy for them!!!

good job!!! | Reviewer: Bloody Valentine | 8/28/07

well, to be honest this band is fuckin great. i'm their greatest 'ancient' fan. yeah, of course tarja had amazing and strong voice, but tarja is the past and anette is the future of this band. so i respect her, but i need time to get used to her beautiful voice, but first impression is just she is wonderfull. nightwish is born again!!! great job!!!

Guilt, guilty, guilty.... | Reviewer: Kelly | 8/26/07

When my friend told me that Nightwish finally found a new singer I was curious. Would she sound like Tarja!?!? He sent me the video from YouTube and my first thought was "She doesn't sound anything like Tarja!?!?! What were they thinking!?!?" But the more I listened to the song (which is now on my MySpace page LOL) the more I liked it. So I found interviews, other new songs, and realized "Wow, I like this! Anette may not sound like Tarja but I think I like that 10 times better! Anette is cute, spunky, and has a fabulous voice!" I am really happy with the direction Nightwish is going now. Has anyone else noticed how much more you see Tuomas now? He seems more in control, on the front lines, "this is how I am and I make no apologies, this is direction I want to go in" and by golly he is! Jimmy and I are going to see them in November when they are at the House of Blues and I can not wait!!!! Wish that CD would come out sooner! I look forward to more from Nightwish, they just seem to get better and better with each CD!

Very Personal Lyrics | Reviewer: Marc | 8/24/07

Nightwish's lyrics are far better than anything they've done before! This is obviously a very personal song for Tuomas--he is, obviously, the person "baptised with a perfect name/the doubting one by heart"; Tuomas--Thomas--the doubting disciple.

The New Nightwish | Reviewer: Antanasia | 8/26/07

To me, Nightwish is the greatest band in history. I love them so much, and was deeply saddened when I found out Tarja had been fired. When I first saw Anette I thought, "She's really pretty, but can she sing?" Then, I heard 'Eva' Far from their best song and I didn't like Anette's voice.
I had lost all hope that Nightwish would ever have another good song, that is until I heard 'Amaranth' That is a really good song. I like Anette. If she was the singer of any other band I would like her more, but it's still very hard to picture Nightwish without Tarja. She has the best voice out of every female singer in the metal genre. I still don't much care for Anette's voice, but we have only two choices; 1) stop listening to Nightwish completely, or 2) give Anette a chance. I've chosen to give Anette a chance.

well... | Reviewer: Finn | 8/23/07

The song and the music video is best! I really love this song, it's much better than the first song named eva.. but for them who not know, when the to young boys is carring on a angel... it's from a well known painting made by Hugo Simber. Take a look :)
