When I first heard this song, it was a little bit too much for me as far as beats are concerned. I am in my mid 40's and somewhat more traditional/conservative in my music. However, God blessed me with my only child late in life and I am the proud mother of a 3 year old as I face the impending menopause phase of life. Though it is very challenging sometimes there are so many blessings about this phase of my life and my relationship with my daughter that I wonder how I was so special for God to bless me in this way. Now back to the song. My daughter heard the beat and lyrics and LOVED IT! " Mommy please play Shooby again," (over and over she tells me this). I enjoy seeing her dance and sing and really get into the song. So guess what? I started to listen to the words myself and now it is one of our favorite songs. It is also my ringtone on my cellphone. Today as we listened to the interview on BET, my daughter was pleased to hear Shooby on the TV and since she was with her two small cousins, they were all dancing and singing and enjoying the video. My oldest neice was also singing the song.....it is catchy, upbeat and inspirational! In fact, my daughter is still singing it now even though it went off about 40 minutes ago. I thank you Nicole for using the talent God gave you to bless all generations and types of people.
P.S. My daughter's name is Cydney Nicole-Faith and I did not even know about your career when I named her, even though I know you very well from New Life Temple.
God Bless you and keep going on in the Lord,
Sheila (Speight) Duhart
