Look up the lyrics for Cry on My Shoulder by Overflow, or Carry Me by Mark Shultz. Both songs talk about Jesus being close to us and always there for us, but if you notice they never mention his name. Also, yes Jesus died for us and that is the basis of our faith, but that's not all. We can sing about his love or his Grace or Mercy with out mentionin the cross. You don't start teaching the Gospel by saying "Jesus died for us! Believe!" You tell people why they should and the joy and happiness it brings here on earth and in an everlasting life with him. "Whereever we go that's where the party's at" - speaks to taking the joy of the Lord everywhere we go. The joy of the Lord can make you feel welcome anywhere - that's "we bring the welcome mat". Then the slower part "this is a message we spread bringing life to the dead this is a gospel exposed follows wherever we go" - talks about our responsibility to spread the good news and then the love of God follows wherever we go. They experience peace and fufillment because they have not denied Christ. Please dont discourage people by telling them that Christians are murdered everyday.Christians are tortured everyday, but they choose to live for Christ and their lives are blessed because of it. God never leaves their side. Anyway, God wants you to come to him so you can have peace, know the truth and be loved. He wants to take your burdens and let you experience his grace. Come to him with your burdens. He will heal you if you believe, and give you the strength to become martyrs if you are faced with toture and persecution.Also, the song is amazing and it tells of the joys of witnessing and the joys of being with God through the trials of persecution.
