Believe in his power, I have lost a lot in my life and I have cried so many times, I have cursed God countless times, and never really put my life and faith in him. I go to church every Sunday and Tuesday without a heart full of repentance. When I had enough I started to cry like I have never cried before suddenly I looked at a picture of Jesus at my bookshelf covered with dust and I saw the Bible the first word I read was believe it or not "God is Love". So put your life in his hands as I did because now I live because he lives in me. Amen

One of my favorite songs. It just makes me want to hug the neck of my dear Savior. Today is Good Friday. Our service at church was fabulous. I just marvel at what Jesus did for on the cross, and for me, at wretched sinner. Thank you, dear Lord Jesus for choosing me to be an heir to your Kingdom. I will praise you until you come to take me home.

Sometimes I foget how much Jesus really loves us, but this song helps me remember that he loved us so much he actually died for every person on earth. The lyrics are beautiful and powerful and it only makes me love Jesus even more than I did before.

The song is beautiful and heart-felt. it is too bad that something that comes from the heart would cause so much doctrine.
But, to review, God does choose us in the sense that he is omnipotent and knows all before the creation fo the world. To that I agree. But the word "Believe" is a verb, an action word. So how is that the word "Believe", or its dirivitives, are found countless times in any concordence?
Does God want a bunch of puppets running around? Does it mean we have free will to do whatever we want because we are already elected?
God wants our love, ans He loved us. It is up to us to accept the free gift or reject it. Therefore the answer is somewhere in the middle.

This song is beautiful. My eyes are tear'ed the Lord when I am listening. He can use a song like this just as well as thunder and fire. Peace to all Calvinist and arminian posters as well as modern evangelical. We are the body of Christ. We are different parts yes, but Christ said himself, "if they aren't against they are for us, leave him be". Why can't we even follow this simple teaching. The two golden parallels so often argued about are both true. We arent able to understand it, but "His ways are not our ways". Surrender to OUR Lord. Follow Him with out judging others. Only speak when he moves you. Be TRANSFORMED DAILY! And rejoice that yes it's predetermined and people are elected by God AND YES you must choose. Make sence? No? Thats why its called faith. Love you Father. In Jesus name I pray for all my Brothers and Sisters. AMEN.

Don't take everything you hear as valid truth. Review it through the lens of scripture. Since the Bible is the inerrant word of God, let your bible intrepret your Bible. I highly suggest Gotquestions.org for any of those with any biblical questions.

Part of the problem with the evangelical community today is that what we speak is the truth, and we expect others to receive it just the same way we do. Instead of encouraging others to ask questions, we just tell them the truth and expect that to be enough. Curiosity is an inherent part of our nature, and if we don't appeal to that, our message is becomes far less effective. So the next time you talk to someone, think about answering their questions, rather than just telling them they're wrong to think one way or another. For we were all once like those without the hope of Christ.

This song is great, I'm still amazed by how much God's presences overwhelms us when we glorify Him.

PS. Please don't listen to R Carlson comments. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Jesus only brought Lazarus back from the dead after Martha told Christ she believed in Him. Thats the whole lesson of that passage: If we believe in Christ we will "see the glory of God"(John 11:40). Believing or not believing, that sounds like a choice.

this is not a theology dissertation! so stop treating it as such. it rightly praises and that is all that matters. nobody cares if its not 100% true to the bible. its a very reflective and joyful song with very inspirational and easy to comprehend lyrics. i love it!

T. Drum...where is scripture does it say "you must choose jesus" or "make a decision for christ"? No where! It DOES say "I chose you" and "we are DEAD in our transgressions" and "God breathed into them". We are DEAD in our transgressions and sins, and just like Lazarus, we cannot choose to come out of the grave. Christ, however DID choose us when he died on the cross! His mighty word resurrected Lazarus who was dead. It is God who does the choosing, not man. Get your theology straight evangelicals! You're deceiving a LOT of people. Re-read some Martin Luther.

The first time i'll ever listen to this Song, is through Pastor Nick v. Album. The song was used for the production and through both the pastor and the song, my life touched. It was amazed. IN CHRIST ALONE-is a song that every house hold must obtain. PRAISE GOD!

The words and the tune of the song can lift up anyone who feels empty and feels that he/she's at the bottom of the earth .. you feel revived and empowered to get up and live and stand in power of love of Christ.

It's a Great Song But, A Song cannot Save you, only believing in "Jesus" as your Savior & Lord can Save you from death & Hell, contrary to someone named Anonymous who wrote a review on this song. John 14:6 Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, No man cometh unto the Father but by me." It can lead you to the Truth-(Jesus), but you must make a choice to accept Jesus as your Lord & Savior by praying to Him & telling Him you believe in Him to Save you from sin & death in Hell,confessing your sins, & following Him. Jesus is the Only Way!

You know, I never heard of a song that actually made you saved, or did some miraculous wonder to save you from hell. HOWEVER, this song is a great example of God's work through music and praise to Him. A powerful song, and fitting music, can lift anyone out of the blues. God new this when he created music. I wonder what Heaven will be like? I'm certain that I will hear songs like this though.
