I just listened to this song this morning and I laughed and sang along after a while. It makes me laugh, but it has a great message too :)

They played this song to end Creation 2007 in Mt. Union, PA. It was really great to hear 70,000 people singing it together. Some huge Newsboys fans even built a jumbo Captain Crunch box and some made huge cardboard pieces of toast and eggs for this song.

I love this song. It's got a catchy tune and a great message. I heard it live at Creation Fest in Spokane, George Washington. It sounds the best when 20,000 people are singing along.

I Love this song its funny and brlieant. I got the chance to hear it live last night at the newsboys go tour and guess what? It's even better live.
A great song | Reviewer: Geoff | 12/23/06
You could see a mile away that these lyrics were written by Steve Taylor -- smart, funny, and yet packing a powerful punch. I'd like to know the circumstances behind the writing of this song, as it seems a youth leader, who used to lead morning high school Bible studies before school, died unexpectedly. The result was a catchy tune whose meaning will escape you unless you really read it. Eating Crunchberries, while sitting in my home here in Israel, naturally made me think of "Capt'n Crunch waving farewell," which made me listen to the song again three more times.
"Breakfast" is typical of the Newsboys -- great music; intelligent, funny lyrics; a song that stays in your head all day long.
