I'd like to know the circumstances behind the writing of this song, as it seems a youth leader, who used to lead morning high school Bible studies before school, died unexpectedly. The result was a catchy tune whose meaning will escape you unless you really read it. Eating Crunchberries, while sitting in my home here in Israel, naturally made me think of "Capt'n Crunch waving farewell," which made me listen to the song again three more times. "Breakfast" is typical of the Newsboys -- great music; intelligent, funny lyrics; a song that stays in your head all day long.
