I totally agree witchu. Nas def kills it. I did wanna make one comment about your list of 'fake ass rappers'. My only gripe's with T.I. on that list. Yeah he's mainstream as shit, but he can lay it down with the best of em. Dude's got ill ass rhymes. That's all I wanted to say. Holla.

Add silk satin in my drawers because all I need is one microphone | Reviewer: One Microphone One Beat, and ONE BOOM BOOM | 7/15/12

I like the fact that everyone left me space to write this. I am not a hero or anything, and I like the point y'all made when you kept the music alive. It is like the fact that people can't connect your dots without a magic erase board. 1/2/3///slashes make me sashay in a mean way. Good song, just wish I had more friends to share it with. Excusem y typis....good lucky four leaf clover and shamrock miss you. Keep looking...favorite window.

I'm 4rm Jozi(S.A) I don't knw anything about Queensbridge society or struggle but what i knw is that all black people suffer n witness da same struggle all over the world cuz we live in the ghettos therefore Nas ain't a poser he's one of the rappers that revive da real hip hop.Not this fake b¿tch ass niggaz lyk Lil wayne, birdman,Rick Ross,Soulja boy,T-Pain,T.I,50 Cent-the annoying list is endless

One Mic is a classic...there hasn't been much before or after that has been written to illustrate the magnitude of the experience one person has gone through. Nas also lays out his plight from knowing what is right, to living what is right. He has laid a profound master plan for all of his audience who has gone through or still evolving through the debts of their own existence in the "hood" to put down the guns, and to speak a loud voice with something as simple as One Mic.

The best! | Reviewer: Nassssick | 11/4/10

Nas is one true rapper rappin bout the struggle, hardship, and social injustice compared to all the pop rappers that talk about sex, bitches and whores. He always say in his song how black ppl should step up and better their lives.. One love Nas

How can he copy a beat from Call of Duty: World at War when this song came out it 2001 and Call of Duty came out in 2008. You need to do some serious homework before you start criticizing people, and another thing, Nas is one of the only true rappers in the game anymore, rapping about stuff that happened in his life and from his neighborhood, and yes, in some "ghetto" areas, the only way to protect ourself from cops is to retaliate. Also, Nas is still making millions and producing and making albums, he just got away from the media.

Nas says all he needs is one mic to spread his voice to the whole world. (notice last line). He's telling everyone we need to step up and protect whats ours. And the only thing he needs to get the message through is one mic. Have you listened to anything he says? tell you what. go get it was written listen to it and tell me all of his songs don't have at least one message real peoples are supposed to get apparently its to subliminal for fakes. As we see here.

You're so stupid...holy shit,
First of all call of duty seriously man?
And you look at the lyrics to literally.
You need to understand it from his point of view.
He's lettign everyone know his way off life in queens and how THEIR way of life is. And bro how is he a poser? We cant even imagine what he's been through... and to be able to put all those experiences into lyrics is why Nas is such a good rapper. Don't try and act like you know a song k peace.

k dog do me a favor?..... shut the fuck up! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/25/10

shut the fck up u retard one when do u ever hear any rappers talkin about how they need food and drinks and air u failed horribly in comin at nas's neck and call of duty didnt even exsist when this song came out idk if u have been under a fuckin rock for like 10 years or sumin u need to shut the fuck up and what kinda homo-thug calls himself k-dog....faggot

@K-Dog | Reviewer: KD | 3/8/10

YOUR AN IDIOT your saying hes a poser? he gives analogys hes not a poser obivously. EVERYONE in NY in queensbridge he lived there he went through rough time you need to apprecaite him and not bring him down because God know you would never say thatg to his face. And if you were from Queens youd get messed up boi

K-dog: My take on Nas | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/4/10

That is emotion. I mean Nas basically puts his life on the line statingall he needs is "One Mic". I mean, thats a brave statement. But it is also a false one. He needs food, water, shelter, clothing, sanitatiton and MUCH more. Nas's views are unrealistic however he does evoke a strong feeling we can all relate to, mainly when us feens drop our Heinekens. Summing up i think this song has a good beat, in some parts copying Audio from the Dogs off Call Of Duty: World at War, but i think it is unrealistic and makes Nas come out as a poser. I mean what REAL person fires at cops to "protect" their hood. Only one which is trying to get into jail. Wheres Nas now? Probly fucking chicks like Cassie in his Lambo. Peace.

NAS IS MAJOR................ | Reviewer: NKEM ( Niger Delta ) | 12/6/09

Every piece of that song ( one mic ) is prophetic. The song hit the right spot like HATE IT OR LOVE IT ( 50 cent & The game ).Nas is a TRUE GHETTO TRUTH like PAC,THE GAME,50CENT,AKON,SNOOP,DR DRE,BIG,PLIES,RICK ROSS,BABY,ICE CUBE,KANYE WEST,JAY-Z,YOUNG JEEZY AND SO ON.

He is too PROPHETIC LYRICALLY and one of the BEST the world rap music will ever have.
