My Chemical Romance TO THE END. | Reviewer: PHOENIX•RISE | 1/23/13
To me, since the album is about a literally killer couple, it's the guy singing to the girl on her wedding day. He killed her fiancé's friends ("he doesn't have many friends as they are face down and bloated snap a shot with the lens") and he knows that her fiancé was never in love with her anyways ("he's not around he's always looking at men") and that her fiancé doesn't want the life he has ("he calls the mansion not a house but a tomb"). And the guy knows that the girl isn't the pretty, innocent girl she pretends to be ("she keeps a picture of the body she lends. Got nasty blisters from the money she spends") and he says that if she rejects her fancy life he will too ("if you say it's never too late then I'll forget all the diamonds you ate"). And then I think the girl kills her fiancé to be with the guy ("share the vows at the wake"). And the guy is telling her to say goodbye to everything she knew because now they both can't turn back, and she can't ever go back to being innocent now that's shes joined him in his life of danger ("Say goodbye to the vows that you take. Say goodbye to the lives you make. Say goodbye to the hearts you break and all the cyanide you drank") because she has broken her family''s hearts and her wedding vows by running off with a murderer and "drinking the cyanide". Whether you agree with the way I interpreted the song or not, you have to agree this song is fricken AMAZING. And if you DON'T, then maybe you should just stick to reviewing your One Direction lyrics. Thanks. So long, and goodnight. (I couldn't resist >.<)
I love this song.
I had no idea what it meant so I just kinda ignored the Lyrics. But then my friend figured it out and we read A Rose For Emily then listened to To The End.
Wow. Awesome in everyway!!!
Marriage, Babies, and the song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/20/09

And all the cyanide you drank | Reviewer: GerardWayLover | 1/31/09
I love this song. it's one of my favourites my MCR. the other one i love is "The End." (all the END ones, ey? :] )
the chorus is the best bit of this for me: and the line "and all the cyanide you drank" hooks me completely
To The End | Reviewer: Deb
Jemma: "what does it matter if franks bi?" But...he isn't though; he's married. Where does that even come from, and what does it have to do with this song?
"To the End" is my son's favorite My Chem song actually. I find it to be a nice, sardonic commentary on the state of conventional thinking. Ray's style for "Revenge" was this sort of heavy-hitting strum that just stays in your head. It's a great number.

i absolutely love this song,
but i doubt youd wanna play it at your wedding.
you guys do know its about the book "A Rose For Emily" right?
about a girl who falls in love with a guy, but hes gay, so she takes him to her house and poisons him and keeps his dead body in her bed.
everyone in town always thought she was a bit strange.
A long while later, she died.
when the government officials finally broke in,
they found his body much decomposed in the bed, and that he had died not alone and with attention and could have had care-giving.
so its basically about learning to let go of someone you love and moving on.
Simply Inspiring | Reviewer: Emiliano
This song is one of the best songs ever written by My Chemical Romance, and probably one of my most favorite songs ever, I'm not just saying that becuase MCR is my favorite band. I find the lyrics to this song and in fact all of their songs as inspiration, they move me. I am an aspiring artist, I write music, sing, act, and am working on a novel. I always enjoy more esteemed artists and of all my idols they are the biggest. This form of expression is the reason for music, excuse me if this is long or not as poetic as the song but no review could do gerard's lyrics justice now matter how much it praises My Chemical Romance's work. Damn this is getting long...so yeah.
THIS SONG IS THE BESTISMUS!!!!! | Reviewer: Lo | 2/23/08

This is an amazing song, just like all of their songs, and is also one of the best on that particular album.

If you marry me,
Would you bury me?
Would you carry me,
To the end?
If a guy proposed to me with these very words i would deffinitly say yes!

I personally love this song. Gerard's vocals are wonderful, and the backround vocals fit with the topic. I love the 'wo-oh' and the lyrics.
Also, to someone who said this, Gerard and lyn-z are still together. But what does it matter? This is a review about the song, NOT their personal lifes.
Hey | Reviewer: Jemma | 11/14/07
what does it matter if franks bi?
Hes fucking amazing no matter what. The whole band is amazing.
I love how gerard is a great role model. He's been sober for years now, and hes much better than those drugged up 'rock stars'.
Its the music you should like the band for anyway.
best band i've ever seen live. It was amazing!
This is my favourite song. ever.
Oh God, the teenies... | Reviewer: GuinGravedigger | 11/5/07
I agree, My Chemical Romance is an amazingly talented post-modern horror rock band, with great stories worked into their songs and clever metaphor and one-liners reminiscent of horrorpunk bands such as The Misfits or Calabrese. I admire their hard work and genius lyrics, and look forward to seeing more incredible work in the future. Still, something is eating away at me. You DAMN teenies need to stop drooling over Gerard and typing leik dis 2 ppl and MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIVES. Stop obsessing about their personal lives and enjoy the music for what it is.
My rant is over now. Thanks for tuning in.
