I love this song, it's very beautiful and deep. There have been several interpretations of this song, from the idea that it's about Way's rejection of the mainstream emo wanting his band to be a part of it, to someone murdering his girlfriend, to a mock emo song, to something about guilt and suicide.
I believe it's best to believe what is more meaningful to you, just like good poetry and literature. After all music isn't a one sided thing there's the listener too.
The reason for all the haters I think is because you kinda have to have a connection along with some previous experiences with the music to appreciate and understand it, otherwise it's meaningless. And that it's like Pepsi Blue, either you hate it or love it.

I have listened to every single My Chemical Romance song put out and i must say that by far this is the best one. Others such as Helena, to the end and MAMA and House of wolves can come close but they still dont cut the mark that THANK YOU FOR THE VENOM does.
