The truth about what mcr did for me | Reviewer: vicky | 9/10/08
MRC is much more than just a band to me. They are the ones who inspired me, who pointed the world out to me as it is and taught me that in life you will get a maximum of 5% of the things you want if you're lucky. They have shown me that life kinda sucks and that a lot of the time the bad guys win, But they have also given me new hope. Hope that life will rock, because i think that what their music is about is finding yourself in this world which has no room for us, making ourselves heard just for the hell of it because if we're not going to live forever then you better make sure that someone will remember you. MCR saved me from being a no one. They have given me... a life. With my new self and their music to inspire me, i know i'll make it to wherever this hell will take me, and i'll d it while being known by other no ones.
MCRmy | Reviewer: mcr fan for life | 9/5/08
i dont know what to say. mcr is everything. they have really opened me up and made me the person i am today, i listen to them often, theyre my fave band. sheesh. they really got me into so many amazing musicians, like bullet for my valentine, escape the fate, bowling for soup, the hot lies, sum 41, mindless self indulgence, Panic at the disco.... and so much more its rediculous. i have been inspired by all these bands, but mainly mcr. im not emo, and neither are mcr, and whoever does call themself or mcr or anybody else emo or any rediculous label, should grow up. anyone who commits self harm really has problems and shouldnt blame anyone but themself. obviously they get the worng message, because mcr promote anti suicide and depression and really do save lives by doing so. their music is very influeantial, and always lifts my spirits up. well any band i love does.
thats the end of my little rant about mcr.
dont ever be afraid of life, battle it like a warrior, and never for a second back down.

i love mcr so much, i dont know what id be without them. i wouldnt be the same person i am now if they werent at all in this world.
i have changed so much ever since i haerd the first song i heard, which was welcome to the black parade. i loved that song so much when it was played on the radio, it got me straight into mcr. and so i love every single thing about them. and now im such a happy person, without them i have no idea who i woud be.

For everyone who attacks mcr and calls them posers and emos, shut the hell up. They have been through more shit in the past few YEARS than most of you have probly been through in your LIFE. They are real heros, they saved my life and tehy are based on a true story...
Mcr saved my life! | Reviewer: Amanda | 8/16/08
Ok there have been many times when I have wanted to just pass away and move on! But all I have to do is grab my ipod and put on My Chemical Romance they are my favorite band in the whole entire world!!! I love Raymond Toro Ortiz, Gerard Arthur Way, Bob Bryar (I can't find his middle name anywhere!), Michael James Way, and last but not least!! Frank Anthony Iero!! I love them with all of my heart and if anything ever happened to them I would die inside I would just sit in a corner crying I would be the shell of a human and nothing else. They are so inspirational!! My dream is to one day meet them! I have not yet gone to on of their concerts, but I will one day! That is one promise I make to them!

Don't Flip Out.. | Reviewer: Taylor | 7/21/08
Hey.. just wanna let off some steam I guess.
I'm not an MCR fan, but I do have a problem with a friend who loves the band. Shes been cutting herself, she was emitted to the hospital, and now shes getting professional help. She tried drowning herself, but freaked out, and went back to land. Her mom&dad, and I'm ashamed to say this, but even I, am blaming MCR for it. She told the doctors she cut herself but doesn't know why, she said she has a great life, lots of friends, she loves her family, she cuts herself because it relieves her from stress. She says MCR is the only thing shes got. She makes Youtube videos, which was against her punishment, she got her computer taken away for the first two months of the summer, but snuck on to visit MCR sites, and now shes gother privleges back and shes making Youtube videos about the band. Her dad told me if there was anything I didn't know, to tell them ASAP, they said it'd mean the world to them, and I don't wanna let them down. I know my friends gunna get mad at me if I tell on her for the videos, but I know she'll forgive me eventually. I'd rather her going around hating me for awhile, then going around knowing shes hurting herself. I don't want you guys out there to say I'm dissing on Gerard Way, because I'm not, not even close. I just need some advice from somebody. I've tried everything, I don't enjoy MCR music, only a couple songs, I like Teenagers and Cancer, but those are the only ones I can actually relate to. I tried liking the music, getting into it, for her so we had stuff in common again, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Shes made 6 MCR videos, I told her if she made a 7th, I was gunna call her dad. It feels in my heart like I'm doing the right thing, but.. I'm not so sure. I know MCR has saved a lot of your lives, but she only started to cut when they came into the picture, and a lot of people believe they almost took hers.
E-mail me at taylor0101995@hotmail.com and please give me some advice, Idk what to do about this anymore, and I feel like giving up on everything.

Age and IQ check! | Reviewer: Spike in San Diego | 7/19/08
Is anybody here over age 14 and 90 IQ? Somehow I doubt it, if the utter inanity of these "reviews" is any indication!
I am almost 50 and I like MCR for their sheer showmanship and songwriting chops.
And BTW anybody who seriously thinks a pop/rock (call it whatever you want) band literally "saved their life" really needs to GET a life! Take your iPod along if you must, but how about actually getting out of your room once in awhile and DOING something that gives you a legitimate sense of accomplishment?
You also might want to try a couple of "dark" non-mainstream bands that still manage to maintain their sense of humor: Mindless Self Indulgence is a good place to start [official site: www.mindlessselfindulgence.com ]
NOT EMO!!! | Reviewer: Jack_the_Reaper | 7/16/08
Alright first of all MCR IS NOT EMO!!! Gerard even said that emo is bullshit. WTF is up w/ people and calling themselves emo... labels are for soup cans!!! I myself have been labeled as emo even though I don't follow the stereotype. It's all the work of fucking jocks and cheerleaders (prepies) who came up with these fucking labels to destroy the spirits of those deemed uncool... Oh and if anybody is dressing or acting "emo" they're just FUCKING POSERS!!! Seriously get a life... Oh and by the way, If you think The Black Parade is their best album, then you guys only started listening to them when they came out with that album. I've been to 2 concerts (pre-Black Parade) and they were way fucking better than the one I saw after it came out.
Oh and just to clarify thing "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" is there best album... there's just no comparison.
