I'm not much a poet, but a criminal. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/8/09
Lizzy Rose, actually the correct title for this song DOES have the word "fucking" in it. Therefore there is no need of fixing the title to the song on this website. Besides that fact, I would like to say this is an amazing song and that I love this band immensely. They have helped me through an awful lot during my life, and I love them to pieces for it. As for people debating on which album is My Chemical Romance's best album, I would have to say I enjoy "I brought you my bullets you brought me your love" the most. I'm not exactly sure why I do, but it just is my favourite for some reason that is unknown to myself.

This is one of my favorite songs from My Chemical Romance. But you know what I'm tired of? POSERS! All they say is "OMG! I LOVE GERARD!" it's very annoying. But some people come onto these lyrics to hate on emos and MCR. I'm really tired of that. So, please stop if you are any of these people. No offense, I like Mikey, but you don't see me saying "OMFG!!! I LOVE MIKEY!". So...yeah.

Its an amazing song and personal i love both Three cheers for sweet revenge and Black Parade.
I can find no mistake in the Lyrics altho the title is wrong, there is no "Fucking" in the title acording to the offical CD cover!
The Sandman | Reviewer: Hannah | 10/12/08
"You get, what everyone else gets,
You get a lifetime!"
This line was blatently taken from The Sandman graphic novel... excellent reference...
I saw MCR when they toured The Black Parade, concert was suprisingly good, but there encore was all the old stuff, and the energy at the concert just exploded. Even though the lyrics of "I Brought You My Bullets" and "Three Cheers" were much more... depressing, I think the style of the albums is what makes them so much more superior to "The Black Parade". This song is definately one of my favorites though, but "This is the Best Day Ever" is my absolute favorite.
Any word on a new album?
It really is NOT a fashion statement. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/10/08
Sorry if this causes offense, but i think anyone who is "emo", and hurts themself purely for that reason,is full of shit. I struggled with self harm for years, and the reason I never told anyone is because I knew I would be labelled. MCR are awesome, and they've helped so many people. I am one of them. Please, will everybody who isn't really depressed just stop pretending already?! You're stopping people from getting the help you need, and it's not a fashion statement. If you've suffered from depression, you know just how real it is, and people shouldn't make a joke of it.
LONG LIVE MCR! And for all the people out there who are REALLY dealing with depression, stay strong! We can get through this!
PS, I'm not angry with anyone who wears emo clothes or listens to emo music, I'm just pissed off at all these kids who label themselves and PRETEND that they have problems.
Um, Aleks, no . . | Reviewer: WhoCares | 8/30/08
I'm not even going to bother talking about the lyrics on the new album. I will say that I hate the new album, because the music itself sucks.
I can listen to shitty lyrics with great music, but mediocre lyrics with shitty music? No. And no.
Revenge. | Reviewer: Aleks | 4/1/08
Although I’m not a huge fan of My Chemical Romance, I think Gerard was a better writer when the first two albums were made due to his depression, although this is not a good thing. I think this was because he was able to write something that other people connected with. On the other hand if he had continued to write about how depressed he was My Chemical Romance would have become very stagnant very fast.
When it comes to The Black Parade, they either wrote a concept album just because they could, or it could have been that concept albums are hard to write because it makes the story more personal to the writer and not everyone’s story is exactly the same, making it harder for people to connect with the songs, explaining why others may thing their previous albums are better.
And for anyone that thinks being ‘emo’ is a good label to give themselves it’s not, it’s pathetic, no arguments, no empathising, nothing. “Wanting to die on the outside so no one can see the pain on the inside” is a psychological condition, not a fashion statement. So I suggest you either get help or shut up because you obviously don’t know what you are talking about. Got a fucking death wish?
Perhaps now you know what the title means.
Anyway, I think this song is about someone misleading Gerard promising him everything yet giving him nothing, glorifiying the life of drugs and alcohol. Gerard finally realised what it was really doing to him and wants to get revenge and 'take back the life they stole.' He's telling whoever it is, this lifestyle is not a fashion statement, it's a deathwish.

^_^ one of the best songs | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/10/08
this has so much meaning to it, not everyone understands it but i always feel all his songs have a meaning. If he didn't write his songs i would never know that i was emo. It makes me feel so much better to know what i am.
Hip Hip Hooray for me... | Reviewer: yesleK danlD | 2/13/08
I love this song, and all the others, too. MCR is the best band ever, I hope that they will never break up. I'm serious. They helped me through alot of pain in my life. Thanks.
p.s. if u spell my name backwards, you'll see its true meaning..

I've always listened to this song but never felt it's true meaning.. Then i said the name over in my head reandomly completely out of the blue: It's not a fashion statement, its a fucking deathwish... I'm emo. i'll admit it. But being emo does not mean that you paint your nails black or have black hair or wear black clothes.. I sometimes wear pink clothes actually but thats not the point.. vbeing emo is not a fashion statement.. Its wanting to die to cause youself pain on the outside so no one else can cause you pain on the inside anymore because it has been suppressed by the physical harm which you have created.. That you can control
