The Reviews about Skylines And Turnstiles (page 5/ 6)
------ performed by My Chemical Romance

Skylines and Turnstiles | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/23/07

Skylines and Turnstiles is such a sad and heart gripping song about the 9/11. Although people might listen to it and think its not really about the 9/11, all they have to do is take a good clear look at the lyrics and understand. This song is truly amazing in it's way, and I consider it one of my very favourites by My Chemical Romance.

I think that day, Gerard and I had the same idea. I felt like I wasn't living to my full potential, and strangely enough around that time I had given up drawing, too. Infact, I gave it up for singing. I knew I wanted to change people when I got older. I was only about 9 at the time. It's strange, every day I find a similarity between me and My Chemical Romance. This is such a beautiful song. It's not directly about 9/11, it's about how he felt about it, wich makes it very easy to relate to. There's a My Chemical Romance song for everything in my life now... I'm Not Okay - Elementary school, Ghost of You/Demolition Lovers/How I Disappear - my boyfriend, Drowning Lessons - my best friend, To The End - my other best friend, Helena - my grandma, Cancer - both my grandparents, Give Em Hell, Kid - (going into) highschool, And so many others...

he was on his way to get his idea of the breakfast monkey published on the cartoon network when he saw bodies falling from the towers. p.s Aqua Teen Hunger Force took his place on teletoon...those bastards ^_^

LOVE IT | Reviewer: Elena | 5/29/07

This song is one of my favorites but it's so sad. I barely remember that day but now I remember it more than ever and it just makes me so sad..."....And after seeing what we saw, can we still reclaim our innocence?...." For some reason that parrt really touches me. Even though none of my family members, friends, or aquantances were killed, it deeply touched us all...this song reminded me that we need to stay strong and stuff...
I LOVE IT!!! <333

amazing | Reviewer: isabel | 5/27/07

gerard is my hero. anyone from mcr is my hero. he is so brave to still be going on after seeing such a horrible thing. u don't know what i would have done, but i know i wouldn't be living like him. 9/11 makes me cry everytime i see something from it and this song is truly wonderful, wonderful song.

this song is so beautiful the reality of it just gets to you listening to this song

it's about 9/11, and the reason i think i relate to it so much is that i was only in 4th grade when it happened, i was still in my happy go lucky kid stage, this event was my first taste of tragedy and reality it really opened my eyes and i started to realize that the world isnt always just a wonderful fun place, that theres is so much more depth there. i think thats also why so many teens around my age kind of resenate with them and relate to them as a band so well

The song itself has so much emotion and sense of reality behind it that it really makes you tear up when you listen to it.

the reality of 9/11 hit everyone really hard,
especially for me, i was young, in 4th grade actually, when it happens, this event was my first real sense of tragedy and it is when i really started to realize that the world isn't a big happy place where everyone is having fun and all

the song is amazing and easily related to

Actually.. | Reviewer: Lisa | 5/14/07

Gerard Way was actually on the way to work for Cartoon Network when he witnessed the towers go down, and the bodies falling.
He was not on a train.
Or in a building.
Thankyou to the person who pointed that out...I also have the Life On The Murder Scene DVD (that is how I know)
=)
