Read the first verse, "they sleep with a gun" refers to parents, or adults in general. I'm a graduate student at Syracuse University training to be a therapist. It is un ethical to blame just music for a few violent kids. I've been to very many punk and rock shows. I like Marilyn Manson, Fall Out Boy, and Rob Zombie, but I never brought a weapon to school or tried to hurt people. You have to look at all the systems around the people that are violent (home, school, friends, culture, society). WHen a kid brings a gun to school, it isn't just the kid that is to blame. Where did he get the gun? HOw did he sneak it out of the house? Were his teachers paying attention when he came into school? Did his peers know about it before hand? These are all valid questions that should be examine. Don't forget about the millions of kids who aren't violent, but still listen to punk. Be nice to the kids with piercings and dyed hair.
