this song is amazing. it wasn't the song that saved my life, but i cry almost every time i hear it. the music video makes my heart break, seeing Gerard that way. all their songs are so powerful and.. there's no word to describe it. i know he wrote this when his grandma died, but it has meaning in other ways. i listened to it the other day, and something just clicked. Gerard was telling me what to do, and i love him so much i'll do something if he says its the right thing. when i heard they're having a concert in Austrailia next year, i seriously thought about swimming. but they'll be back. :] i love them all, but obviously i would do anything for Gee. ♥ its not just because he's hot [well, beautiful] or his voice "sounds cool" its amazing. it could make 10,000 hearts break. i would say a lot more, but most people are emotionless "vampires" that don't even have hearts. i don't just love him because he's my hero either. i can't really explain why.

okay this song helena was written when mikey and gerard way's grandmother died. it makes me cry everytime i hear it... three cheers for sweet revange was based on by this song... its just so heart-breaking seeing the video. and the worst part about it is when peple call the band emo.. all the sadness i have from this song dis dwells up inside of me and just make me want to f*ck you! and as gerard says if anyone judges u or what u listen too just hold up your middle finger and scream f*ck u!! which is atcually what i do now. but still this song is comeltly memorizing and unforggeable long live mcr! death to all who oppose!

This song is so fucking old . The song has a pretty memorable video to it . The lyrics are pretty meaningful . They don't however focus on suicide . The song is written after the death of Gerard and Mikey's grandmother or someone close to them . The whole album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge was dedicated to this 'Helena' . I used to be a HUGE MCR fan but once that Black Parade shit came out, they sold out and were too generic . Anyways, I think this song really sums up MCR's music .

This song is a great song. With strong, powerful, meaningful lyrics. MCR is an awesome band and MCR "Saves Lives" they are my inspiration. Funny i was in chorus today and this very song "HELENA" was playing and it made me feel so alive xD. MCR fucking rocks!!!! and I love you guys

The song is great and so is the video. Very powerfully delivered and seems to address the issue of suicide and the damage it does to everyone around it. That's what I get out of it, but whatever you make of it the video adds a lot of meaning to an already meaningful song. Hats off the band and the director of the video.

Hey, this song rocks...It really brings up your emotions and makes me cry...And if you want an emo band, look up Circle Takes the Square, they are fantastic, really deep, nothing beats MCR and Slipknot tho. I am a guy...even though that may have sounded like a girl...>.>This song rocks, and MCR kicks ass!

Rites of Spring is real emo. Emo is punk with meaningful deep lyrics. This isn't emo, and it pisses me off that people think, "Oh, that's emo" when it's not. This is like...I dunno what the fuck this is, but it's good.

This was the very first M.C.R. song I ever heard. I was playing singstar with my cousin and we chose this song. I immediatly LOVED it; and would always ask to sing it.
This song makes me have so many different emotions, and can mean soo many things. Its just great.
