The first time I saw the music video for this, I cried </3
It makes me think about all the members of my family in the military. My cousins in the Marine Corps. My grandfather in the Army Air Corps. My father in the Navy.
The song is haunting and sad, and I love it.

I saw helena the video, though it was great but havnt seen this one. i feel so heartbroken, sad X/ it haunts me kind of. the first time i heard it the rest of the day i wanted to cry but there were no tears. ive been down for a very long time X[. so sorrowful, like the singers crying out, but cant do anything to go back in time i guess? X]

This song is so devastatingly beautiful. The more I listen to it, the sadder it becomes. The video is amazing. It makes me cry everytime I watch it! I love all their songs, but this one is the only one that has such a strong impact on me. It makes me feel... Hollow and full at the same time.
It's pure genius really. The fact that Gerard's voice sounds so tortured when he sings it, the brilliance of the video, and the lyrics of the song. He could have said "you are dead", but instead he says "you are never coming home, never coming home...". To me that makes it all the more sorrowful, and somehow defines what loss means. Brilliant. Absolutly brilliant.

I first heard this song when the girl i liked suggested singing it for school. I have no regrets. This song is AMAZING!!!!! This song and video is exactly how i felt when my boyfriend told me he was being shipped out. I had nightmares everynight and eventually didn't sleep. I cried a lot, he stole my heart and then broke it. I love My Chemical Romance all of their music speaks to me. Would love to meet them someday :p

Well, first off, I really like this song. It just conveys to the extreme the emotions of sorrow and lost to the listener. It definitely gives a deep impact.
I also really like the music video. In history, we're learning about WWII and after learning about the Normandy invasion, the music video makes a lot of an impact. The first time I had seen the music video, it was sad, but it didn't hit me that deeply. After learning about that battle in history, it just made a lot more sense and it struck me a lot deeper. Now everytime we talk about WWII, this song and music video plays in my head.
