Just FYI | Reviewer: Daisy | 1/2/13
I know this is an old song and all. It's great, really it is. But I've come to notice that a lot of people have a misconstrued interpretation of it. It's not about vampires at all. If you're a Romero fan you would realize that it's loosely based off of his film Dawn of The Dead. The majority of that movie was filmed in Pittsburgh & Monroeville, more specifically the Monroeville Mall. the lines: "Up and down escalators, pennies and colder fountains" and "Elevators and half price sales" is alluding to the mall that the greater part of Dawn of The Dead took place in. So it's about zombies, the living dead. It's a romanticized tale of lovers during a zombie invasion. One gets bitten and the other has to kill him/her because now he/she is infected. Similar to the vampire theory, but change a few things around. I'm not judging anyone or anything, just wanted to set the record straight.
Vampires | Reviewer: Battery Baby | 8/19/12
think about this song like loving someone but they get turned into a vampire (not knowing you'd change from just one bite) in a sort of vampire apocolipse (I fought them all off) and then having to kill them, then having a mental battle with yourself over killing them thinking stuff like 'i loved them' etc... (and if i had the guts to put this to your head) but thinking that they're not who you loved, that person is dead (And would anything matter if you're already dead)and eventually going ahead and killing the vampire (But does anyone notice there's a corpse in this bed)
For me this song tells a heartbreaking story... i hope now you will see what i see in it.
what this song means to me | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/19/11
For me, I think this song it talking about when you're contemplating suicide, and there's a "version" of you holding a gun to your head (when really it could just be yourself) and this entire song is just debating, flipping over and over in your mind whether or not to do it. When it says "already dead" that relates to when you're depressed and you are so numb you don't even feel alive. "shocked by the last thing you said" and all those lyrics could be about getting your hopes up, even in the slightest, but is it enough to overtake your feeling to die? This song relates to the song by Oasis "Wonderwall", and a Wonderwall is an imaginary friend who saves you from yourself. So yeah that's what this song feels like to me.
can't say 'the best' cuz all of their songs are genius | Reviewer: who cares | 3/17/11
''And if I had the guts to put this to your head''
for me it could be also ''If I had the courage to tell you (...)''
But then, the lines:
''But would anything matter if you're already dead? ''
''And these words changing nothing''
Make me wanna cry and then smash everything around me, dunno why :p Maybe cuz of the situation I imagine in my head, like your beloved ones die and you didn't make it to tell them you loved them... ghrrr. I can feel the pain of hopelesness in my heart, when I listen to this song. But still, does anyone notice? Does anyone care?
meaning | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/23/10
I think it's that she told him to shoot her if she got infected but right before she was she told him she loved him and now he doesn't want to kill her because she means so much to him he doesn't want to let her go. Even though it's not her anymore. This is a beautiful song and I love the lyrics. All of their songs mean things and aren't just a bunch of words that sound good together. Their music changed my life and it will change others too.
moving | Reviewer: XxNeverOkayxX | 4/11/10
personally this song is so touching in an almost physcotic way that is not funny. The depth of this song is simply. Moving. Without a doubt "bullets" is definately the most emotional and over powering album of My chemical Romance. Gerards voice has such passion and sorrow in it that it is haunting. Despite the grandure of black parade Bullets is probably the greatest My Chemical Romance album because it is the one that is raw and uncut and you can feel the pain in Gerards voice and that is what makes this album the best even though it is hard to listen to. The way this song comes across is almost like Gerard is a schitzophretic lover. The real fans the true members of the mcrmy would realize what an amazing statement this album has made and what a profound impact it has on the lives of the listeners.

Wow, what can I say? One of the best songs ever. Moving lyrics, awesome beat, MCR changed my life, and that's a lot to say, as I'm only 10. Well, the song is great. It has inspired me somehow to wright some songs here and there, which turned into at least one idea a day. It's really weird, most of the boys in my class make fun of me by teasing me about my completely unreal stereotype. I've been called a "Vampire wannabe" an "Emo" and lots of other things, but I've been able to ignore them, thinking about this song, and other MCR songs, and imaging myself, onstage, singing, my lifelong dream, right next to creating world peace and meeting the awesome people of My Chemical Romance. So, love u MCR...thanks for changing my life.

"I never thought they'd get me here
Not knowing you'd change from just one bite
I fought them all off just to hold you close and tight.."
clearly indicate that his lover is bitten by an infected being & she's gonna change into one soon..
he tries hard to defend her but can't avoid d mishap..
his ill fate forces him to see his dear love change into a ferocious, infected being....
I just love the song.. The beginning is catchy, the melody captivates you.. The end vocals r painful... In all, I'll never get bored of this song!
It hurts alot | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/11/08
You know, after first time I heard this song, I couldn't make myself listen to this again, I was really shocked by the lyrics, it's the best thing I have ever heard along with Demolition lovers and Vampires will never hurt you... I would like all this songs to play at my wedding ceremony because it's the most beautiful words of love ever... like death will never make us apart... love My Chem forever...

This is one of my favorite songs by MCR. When I first heard it, the melody made me sad, esp. in the beginning, idk why. Words are powerful too.

what the songs about | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/20/07
does anyone else know it's about dawn of the dead. the city in dawn of dead is moneroeville pensylvania. the man a girl loves is turned into a zombie (but i haven't seen original and in remake he never is completely transformed into zombie) and apparently acording to the song is later killed by his girlfriend. th line " There's no room in this hell
there's no room in the next" i'm 99.9 % sure refers to the movies slogan " when there's no more room in hell, the did will walk the earth. I love the movie and song. UNLEASH THE FUCKING BATS!!!
