They've always said that there purpose was to save lives. I mean it saved Gerard's life.. twice! I realize I'm young (13) and you'd think I wouldn't have much experience or input on this topic. I can't say that I ever used drugs or was an acoholic. I can say I was depressed for numerous years leading me to self-harm and eventually suicidal. As you can tell I never got that far. In October 2006 I discovered My Chemical Romance. When they first caught my eye I thought they were emo. At the time, I thought I had to be emo to like them. So my "mental state" declined. As I grew to love them, I threw out the stereotypes and became the person I wanted. As did Gerard. Some might say they were the cause for my behavior, but I believe they saved my life. Though I'm not completely happy and "recovered", I'm better now than I was then. I owe them my life.
