TAKE THAT BUSH!!!!! | Reviewer: ally-cat | 5/10/07
I'm one of the billions who think george bush is the most contradictory, idiotic, power-maniac that ever lived. A few (australian) friends of mine have just signed up to the army so they can fight a war to which there is no point or reason - especially because Australia shouldnt be involved at all. What, we're such wonderful people because we do exactly what we're told? (it's called dictatorship, people!) Because we've shot way more of those nasty muslims than september 11 could ever have hoped to claim? (and there's the irony right there) Because we play with big, pretty guns and get paid to act like neanderthals? (the stupidity) Because we want to fight for out country and defend it from terrorists? (just who is causing the terror in this situation?) There is something seriously wrong with the mentality of a LOT of people today. Whatever happened to peace?
Innocents?? | Reviewer: Screw this song | 5/8/07
Whos killing innocents ?? Bush ?? Im sure but what about the people in those two big towers they were innocent! Dumbass
Hahahah | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/7/07
Stupid american tosser! Who gives a fuck if you don't listen to Muse anymore you don't have the right to listen to them you useless prick! Stop taking it so personally!! This is to all those people out there who make judgments about Muse because of this one song, which, might i add is not directed to anyone in particular but to all political world leaders who, are completely useless greedy bastards.
It's just a song | Reviewer: Bush supporter, Christian, free thinker | 4/27/07
Why can't we all just appreciate a song without delving into its lyrics to support our beliefs? If you like Bush, fine. If you hate him, go ahead and do that. What's really worth argument is why we, as citizens of this country, have turned to spiting one another based on our beliefs.
Don't take this as an attack on either viewpoint. I am simply pointing out that our country is dividing itself without the help of any leader.
By the way, I liked this song. I liked the music, and I don't think that the lyrics should be mutilated to prove a point.
Spiffing | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/24/07
"Of course they are saying something about our president. Fuck them ugly ass brits, see if i listen to their shit again."
You don't sound very well educated, and your political small-mindedness proves that. What makes you think Brits want you listening to thier music anyway, your ears aren't worthy.
Awesome song
Off for some tea and crumpets
Fuq Yeah. | Reviewer: Tanamount | 4/23/07
The implied politcal agendizing is of course overwhelming but this is definitely a sign of the times. The lyrics are good, but as soon as you think of the song and it's context to the american president it becomes a little outrageous. I do not agree with it in that context. The song however could be about the Iranian leader, the South Korean leader, the Argentine leader, pick and choose, pick and choose. There are worse problems out there, and now we apply our own petty, politicized whining to a song that mentions not once the american agenda.
Stop it! | Reviewer: VRF | 4/22/07
Why you people have to violate this amazing song with your bush loving idiology!!! Muse is generaly speaking and if they are talking about bush so what!?! he really should burn in hell for making unnecessary wars and killing inocents.
Don't kid yourself | Reviewer: dickwelsh | 4/17/07
The music is brilliant, but the lyrics are deplorable when taken in the context of the world's current political climate. Sure, they're general enough they could be speaking of any number of leaders, or to a general principle even, but you're kidding yourself if you don't think the U.S. President George W. Bush was at least a partial inspiration for the song.
That being said, it's quite a twisted view of the world compared to the news we see everyday of terrorists killing innocents, and fueling the flames of war while striving for their backwards, facist, religious regimes. But Bush should burn in hell, why? For trying to fight and stop these bastards?
The really scary thing is not when a musical group thinks this way and sings songs about it, but rather when those in power think this way, and lead us to destruction. Let them muse, I say, just keep the focus on the enemy in YOUR mind, and don't let those who can't stay focused have power. Vote.
Brilliant and powerful | Reviewer: Ray | 4/13/07
This is a great song, powerfully sung. Matt Bellamy is one of the greatest singer/songwriters out there and calling him uneducated is simply ignorant.
