Excellent lyrics too, which brings me to my point: If you took out the entire humour, and science-fiction part of Doctor Who Season 2 (with David Tennant) then from what I feel, you're left only with the lyrics of starlight. "Starlight" literally touches my soul in a new way, and like many other contributers I just want to hear in over and over again. That melody on the piano is just magical, beautiful, addictive - who could imagine that such simple combination of notes could have such an effect on people. The lyrics, and how he sings as if his heart and soul are about to explode - incredible. Last year I heard a song on the radio which I found really intriguing as the singer kept taking in deep breaths as he sang - I only heard it once or twice and never got the name of the band. After I heard "Starlight" I thought it might have been it live, but I have been on the Muse website and realised it would have been "Time Is Running Out" which I also love. I am slowly listening to all the songs on website - it's great. I love Muse. I am also getting into Kasabian, The Rapture, the Killers and I love Franz Ferdinand. If you guys love soulful, melodic, meaningful music, you may also like Aussie greats Ben Lee and Croweded House. These artists are a completeley different genre, to each other as well, but there songs are also meaningful, melodic and inspiring. Hope I don't embarass myself but I will definitely be going to see Muse next time they come to Australia. They have got to be one of the best acts live, and Starlight was as epic on stage as it is on cd, if not even more so. Such a brilliantly put together piece of music - the typically haunting vocals, driving bass, sampled organ and guitar, and that infectious clap! One of the best songs I've ever heard!!!
