I just listened to the album for the first time in a while having just watched Season 3 and it struck me that not just Starlight but the whole album could almost be a soundtrack for Tennant-era Doctor Who! Look at the lyrics to Map of the Problematique - They could be all about the Doctor's feelings at the end of "Doomsday", and what is Invincible if not a song about Rose? Meanwhile the song Hoodoo could be all about the Season 3 story "Human Nature / The Family of Blood".

Of course the album was written before either series aired, but it certainly feels as though both were coming from the same place.

this song like almost makes me cry its so good. u, the mother (lol) were totally right. matt bellamy does sing like his heart is about to explode, or implode (hysteria) haha. and when he sings this ship is taking me far away, its like, please, i wanna be on tht ship too. everything the beat, sound from the keyboard his voice everything combined is like something out of this world, it takes u to the stars to other galaxy beyond this universe.... i love them. love, love love LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's just one of those songs, you know... like the songs that make you just think "wow... that is so amazingly written..." and it probably sounds simple, and most of it very possibly was simple to write, but they add all those little extra bits that make it the amazing song it is.

Muse isn't the greatest band around, but this song is about as good as it gets. I don't really see how the song's meaning acts as a political or social commentary, but the tune is amazing and the lyrics are catchy.

Can't stop playing this song!!!....I had heard the song while in Italy last week..(Muse is one of my Italian friend's favorite bands)...Thanks to him who introduced me to the new CD,I am now hooked and keep humming the melody and lyrics when I'm not listening to the CD...:-) It's a beautiful and soulful song...
