Ya no i was alwas thinkin wat is the meanin of the song sing for absolution if its not hangin out with the girl u luv in her room with a little sex boose and cigs but in sort of a mello way. But no drugs. If u ask me its a great song but it just needs a new music video it just doesnt go with the song. Its to random except for the picture of the woman in space. Well i gess that is just the girl of his dreams. If I was to rate this ong from 1-10 1 being the best my rating wood be -4,000,000,006.
It's a "Forbiden Love" Song | Reviewer: sijerk | 3/31/08
This is a masterpiece, and I honestly don't know/understand what the video has to do with this beautiful poem, that describes remorse for a hidden, if not forbideen, love. He's got nowhere to go and no one to tell his truth, and is worried because there is no way to erase his wrong, so he sings, and will be singing (crying outloud, as he performs!!) for absolution, for forgiveness...MUSE is THE BAND

I like where it say the truth burns deep inside and will never die.I think if we did blow up the earth we as the people would never know about just a obviously as the astronauts in the video didn't know it was a wasteland, and for the government who would know the truth would burn inside of them just like when u r keeping a secret for a long time.

I found this amazing song because it was on the list of "soundtracks" of the twilight series. Stephenie meyer wrote this list becuause this songs were the ones that she listened while writing her books.
This one represents Edward, and it's incredible the similarities between the lyrics and Edward's feelings
Video | Reviewer: Rozzer | 12/23/07
I believe the video is about the ice age happening on another planet that humans have colonised in the future, theres alot of clues as to this happening, like them shooting missiles at the icebergs at the start of the video to hold them off, and a billboard saying "the ice age is coming" when they are in space. They then land on earth but find that it is already a waste land, much like it will be in the future.
So overall i think there is a warning hidden in there from Mr Bellamy. Stop being stupid with all this war and stuff or thats what our planet is gonna be looking like in the future.
Anyway, mint song =]
Hmm | Reviewer: Muse = love | 12/22/07
At first when I heard this song I thought it really related to Romeo and Juliet, but then some of the lyrics don't fit. Still a good song. :]

Has anyone seen the video and noticed in the end that the planet that they travel to is not some distant planet? It is actually earth in the future. You can tell because as they stare off into the landscape you see Big Ben in the ruins so I guess that goes with what that guy said about Matt writing the song about humanitys mistakes and it's consequences on the earth. anyways the song is amzing!
Great....Diverse Songs :D | Reviewer: Lis | 7/27/07
This is one of the more diverse songs of Muse that I enjoy. Muse has Unintended for a soft acoustic, Hysteria and Plug In Baby for a more electric guitar solos, but this song is very unique. (But not as good as Time Is Running Out :)

this is on a playlist for the authors views on the book. when i hear this song i feel like crying because it fits the mood of the book and what happened in it so very well. breaks my heart. so beautiful, yet with so much agony it causes me actual pain when i think of it in relation to the book.
