Well... | Reviewer: Peter | 11/16/09
I think "Gui" is right. It's about Show business (hence the title)and greed. But I think it can have its own meaning to everyone. This can be, and is, interpreted as another song about heartbreak. I interpreted it like that the first time I heard it. And though I know its "true" meaning, I've still come back to this song when I was feeling down about my romantic relationships.

Well, you thought wrong dude. This song is about the industry, show business. They way they conquer people, making us feel unhappy with what we have, so we can be as greedy as we can. Amazing song, tells everything.
Muse ftw! | Reviewer: Rei | 7/31/09
Love this song!
I think it's about people expecting him to me a certain way, perhaps his father, and then him having to pretend to want the things they want him to want.
@Dario, not all of Muse's songs are about love...

Brilliant track. I love the drums in the beginning of the track because they sound like war drums to me giving the track a feeling of uneasiness through the quiet beginning.
My only problem with this song is now when I try to right a song it always ends up like this. haha
Meaning | Reviewer: Dario | 11/18/08
for me this song is about falling for someone, who does not feel the same way. controlling my feelings towards this person for far too long, trying to please them for far too long, and pushing it into self destruction. amazing song & vocals.
more please | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/30/08
Absolutely love this song...
The thing about Black holes is that none of the songs are as raw as showbiz.
I saw MUSE live in sydney last year and it was insane, but I see the way they bring out huge screens and flashy lights - I love that, but I would love to see some of their amazing showbiz stuff
I hoped they'd play at least one song off showbiz but unfortunately they didnt. Mark my words - if i see Muse play this song live, I will die a happy man

the gradual increment of power in this song and bellamy's vocals are incredible. muse is quickly becoming at this time and now has become one of rock's greatest bands of all time..
Enthralling | Reviewer: Delilah | 6/17/07
This is one song that helps to make Muse one of my favorite bands. I love how Matthew Bellamy shows the beauty of his voice in this song---it makes the lyrics all the more powerful. I find myself turning this song up every time I hear it.
Simply lovely.
Amazing | Reviewer: Kira | 3/3/07
Beautiful and very powerful vocals.
Reminds me of the media's effect on society and society's effect on every individual.
No matter how many times I've listened to this track, it still amazes me..! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/2/07
Matthew Bellamy really shows his vocal potential here. This song starts out rather slow and quiet and gradually gains power and feeling as the singer explodes letting out all of his suppressed feelings. It's a dark, mysterious, chilling and melancholic song. I love it!
