Otherwise, I don't think that it's about George Bush. This seems far too personal for Bellamy to be singing about a president, especially in the line "you used to mean everything to me." I think he's talking about something personal closer to his heart than politics (that, patriotism aside, is more a matter of the mind). Just because it contains words like 'fighting' does not necessarily make it a political song, and if it is it's certainly sending out mixed messages as Bellamy says 'we're all to blame' - so it would not be particularly ANTI Bush if it is a song about him. I do agree that Muse have a fair few political songs, but I just don't think that this song fits at all in that category. The lyrics are just too ambiguous to be pigeon-holed like that. Just get your facts right before you make assumptions people. Though I suppose you can look down at me for taking the time to even argue this silly thing :) - I guess I love lyrics too much. The lyrics suggest that if you think hard enough, and as some reviewers have already said, Muse come off as quite the political band. How could this song possibly be about George Bush? Yes, everyone is free to interpret a song any way they so choose, but that is the worst interpretation I've ever heard.
