Ridiculous! This seems a tale of the mindless followers of any religion and how the religious are dangerously inculcating their religious mores into politics. Given the simplistic structure of such a Manichean mindset as to be found in most orthodox believers of any given faith, it more often than not leads to violence which is the very reason modern democracies eschew constitutional religious references.

I try to interpret the lyrics from moslem point of view. Like the war in some middle east countries, there are suicide bombers and so on. I think this lyrics is talking about it...
"Whatever they say // These people are torn // Wild and bereft // Assassin is born"
Whatever people say, the moslems are torn by demonic democracy. So the moslems becoming wild and bereft, and so the assasin is born everyday, like the suicide bombers.
This thoughts came after i read about ASSASSIN in Wikipedia.
