It depicts a sense of longing mixed with despair, asking for Apocalypse to end the horror this world has come to. Apocalypse is the end of the world and the site of the final battle between Good and Evil, according to the bible. Hence the verse: And it's time we saw a miracle Come on it's time for something biblical To pull us through it all And pull us through it all Matt is asking for a miracle, specifically the end of the world, to pull us through this failing world. At least that's how I interpret it.
