The Reviews about Nights In White Satin (page 1/1)
------ performed by Moody Blues

Immortal | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/24/09

This has always been my favourite song. I remember memorising the lyrics, which had been taken from the French magazine "Salut Les Copins" while walking to high school in 1967 in Morocco (I was 17). Rabat RTM had always played the top hits. I still listen to Nights In White Satins" at home and in my car.
As for The Jellyrolls story mentioned in a Review above, it's someting new to me. I don't believe it.

that's bull | Reviewer: Ryan | 3/31/09

This song was never sung by The Jellyrolls. That's a bunch of crap. Stop spreading lies and read up on some rock history. Hell, even Wikipedia comments on the rumors you're spreading. He wrote it at 19 which is an impressive feat.

get the facts straight!!! | Reviewer: mike turner | 12/7/08

hayward was not in his 20's when they claimed he wrote this.he was 19.
and the fact is he didn't even write it in the first place!they pulled a paul mc.and took credit for someone else's work!
there are still some of us alive that recall the song being sung by the jellyrolls way before the moody blues put it out!!!!!!!

Classic | Reviewer: Christopher | 9/13/08

Nights In White Satin has stood the test of time 40 years after it was first released. It still sounds as fresh today as it must have sounded in 1967. I still marvel how Justin Hayward who was only in his early 20's when he wrote the composition, managed to achieve such song writing excellence and depth at such a young age. Much the same can be said about Graeme Edge, then also in his twenties, who wrote the poetry following the song.

"Nights" has also been translated and recorded in different languages. Mario Frangoulis, famed Greek tenor has done a version of it with Justin and one can find it on Youtube or Google it for other web sites.

Night In White Satin is a classic song that continues to hold the test of time.

Memorable | Reviewer: Sam | 12/10/07

Wow - what an awesome song. My favourite love song since I was a little girl. Listening to it full volume lying in the dark in soul refreshing!

Karaoke | Reviewer: Louis Spain | 6/30/07

Just sang it for the first time at a karaoke bar.
Even though I sing in two different choirs, including a gospel one, my karaoke singing always netted the feedback, you have a great voice, but you are so wooden up there?! Show some emotion.

This song opened me up like a bottle of cheap wine; you know, the kind with the twist-off caps.

The bar got quiet immediately after the first line. Worried that I'd mangled it. But the words were so powerful I literally put my head back and just sang from the heart of the song. I think the song took over and sang me, instead of vice versa!

I guess a really great song like this can do that to you. Literally have a life of its own.

awsome | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/8/07

This song is easy on the ears, and I love it. I really do, people listen to it, for your own sake.
