This song is my lyrical song, i listen to it all the time and it will never get old. It's also the song i listened to when i lost my bestfriend. And also when me and my boyfriend broke up after 2 years. I think that this song is amazing and it explains so much about life. When I preformed in this dance at nationals, i got tears in my eyes. It always gets my teary-eyed. And thats what i love about it.

To me, this song can mean many things. Whether it be your friend, or lover leaving. It's about losing apart of yourself, & not wanting to believe it. On the outside you do, but on the inside you know it hurts & you dont think you'll be able to do it. idk, i could be wrong.

I think this song can really relate to people in various situations...losing your best friend, but also your best friend who happens to be your lover as well. This song completely sings my story of losing my first love, my best friend of six years. It's been several years, we've both moved on, but I will never stop missing him. This song will never get old to me.

perfect breakup song | Reviewer: Sass | 5/22/08

It's amazing how six months after my boyfriend split up with me this song can still reduce me to tears within a few lines. I don't even know what else to say about it except that this song is what a broken heart sounds like. I've never heard it put better.

please listen to it, you wont regret it.

friendship, not romance | Reviewer: ruby, 16 | 12/10/07

I think this song's about a broken friendship, not a broken romance. It's about leaving your best friend behind, knowing you can't ever go back, and that that part of your life is over, and its time to move on. Knowing you still love them, but it can never be again, cos it didn't work out, and it won't. But it won't work without them either, at least for a little while, so you still have trouble accepting that a little part of you is missing, there's a hole in the side of your heart that can never be refilled, but you've stopped caring - as long as they stop hurting, nothing matters. So you need to let them go, to find their own way, even if you yourself are lost forever.
That's what the song means to me, anyway. I'm not old enough to have suffered a "proper" break-up.
