I have always been drawn to female singer/songwriters. I appreciate their more gentle approach to life, love, etc... I've been a huge fan of Shawn Colvin for years, but I was searching for others amongst the unheard. When I discovered Mindy Smith, I knew my search was over. Mindy embodies all of the characteristics I adore in a singer/songwriter. She can balance on a knife's edge the play between pain & sorrow and happiness & hope. Her spiritual tone and minimalistic construction elevate her crafted, yet unpretentious lyrics. Along with a sweet voice, free from over embellishment, that rises and cuts through with such clarity it often chokes me up. I could list my favorite songs, but overall her growing library of honest, exposed, and familiar subjects ring true in such a musically satisfying manner, that every album is a gem to be treasured. I hope you read this Mindy. God bless you and keep you safe from the monster of fame & success.

Just returned from a cruise put on by sixthman where Mindy perfomrded. I have never seen a performance where the artist was so totally unprepared! Could not finish songs, it looked like she was playing some the songs for the first time. I was big fan until I saw her live. The worst show I have ever seen by a performer

Mindy Smith is quite amazing to listen to and i deeply respect and love her songs. My husband and i fell in love listening to her album and greatly appreciate the opportunity we were given. I cannot help but listen to her songs and feel blessed and touched, especially now that i am married to the person i shared her music with.
I also enjoy the references to God and the spiritual side of life. How stunningly important this singer is in this life and refreshing to hear truth in her songs. Cannot say enough! Deeply sensitive and profoundly touching!!! Thanks mindy!! God Bless You!!

I just lost my Mother too. She embodied all my memories. She knew each heartache and each triumph. How do I do this thing called life without her? I have 2 small children of my own. How do the know her? How do they know how wonderful her embrace is? Mindy's song "One More Moment" speaks to my heart. In the hospital, I clinged to my Mother till her last breath. When she finally left us, a pain so deep struck my soul. That wound will never heal. She is gone to me for now. I want her loving lips to kiss me one last time. I would give my soul for it. Mindy, you are so young and truly gifted with your words. I hope you know that words are God's precious gifts so that we may connect with one another.
