Carranza | 6/14/09 I am 11 and have been listening to Michael W. Smith's music for a long time. My mother gets h is albums and we sing praises to the Lord along with him. One of my favorite songs is "All In The Serve". Have seen the movie and was inspired. Now we look for his music in stores. I am a 6th grader and am doing an assignment for my Music class on a Singer/Songwriter/Pop Artist. Since I'm a Christian and don't even listen to certain music, I've chosen You, Mr. Smith, as my role model (the person has to be someone I'd be proud to present to 6th graders as a role model) what better choice than to chose you. The anointing of God is definitely upon this great man of God....and it shows through with each sound track! I have not stopped listening to this CD because it really draws me closer to our Lord Jesus Christ each time I listen. "Help is on the way" gives each of us "hope" through Christ....and "The River is Rising" makes one want to get up and dance around in the spirit! I love him! | Reviewer: Detrea Godby | 10/25/08 I have been following Michael since 1982 when I met him at a Christian retreat I attended at Ridgecrest Conference Center in Tennessee. He was part of a worship team at that conference. I feel he is a geniune article. A man of true integrity. He has remained true to his wife, his children, his talent, and his Saviour. In a time where several of those in the Christian limelight disappointed those, like myself, who followed them (i.e. Amy Grant, Sandi Patti, and recently, Ray Boltz). I listen to his music and so do my teenage daughters. I have seen him a couple of times in concert and it doesn't get much better than that on this earth. Wow!
