The movie revolves around a white man doing good works to look good in front of the rest of the congregation (he is, after all, the worship leader). For all they care, the church members would rather conveniently write a check than go to the other side of town (the rougher part) and serve the people in need. The people on the other side are mostly African Americans and Hispanics. Michael W. Smith's character gets a chance to serve and really see that things can't always be fixed with a pat answer, or check. The movie leaves you to thinking, will I be like Christ, humble myself, and wash others' feet or say "tisk,tisk" while passing by. Hope this helps. GREAT MOVIE and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
