Limp Bizkit?! | Reviewer: Joshua | 6/7/07
Limp Bizkit tried to do a cover for Metallica? I'm sorry dude, but if you even think of saying Metallica sucks.. Hahah... Go to www.guitaretab.com, look up the song, and try to play it. I guarantee you can't play one CHORD on that entire song. Limp Bizkit is about as weak as they get man. If they have to do covers of one of the greatest Metal bands of all time to be good, then they SUCK! Go ahead and play it, and tell me if you can even get through the intro. 0 12 12 3 353 2. E top, E bottom B E EEE E bottom for all. Try it out. You'll never do it.

The lyrics of the song, is briliant, it reaches to me way down in my heart. The riffs are awesome, the lyrics is awesome, god damn it the fucking song is awesome! This is my #1 Metallica song, no questions asked. Master of puppets ain't even close to Sanitarium. Always liked it :)
Sanitarium inspired by "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" | Reviewer: James | 2/20/07
The song was inspired by 1975 film "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" with Jack Nicholson, the film is very moving itself just like this song. It is about a prisoner charged with a minor offence and a short term in prison, however he pretends to have a mental illness and is transferred to the mental hospital A.k.a a sanitarium hoping to have less of a punishing time and an easier escape, however things dont turn out to be as easy as they seem as he encounters Nurse Ratched who is somewhat of an evil nurse, He must have had an idea that there is a lot to write about when you put frame of mind as the character Randall Patrick McMurphy playing the role of prisoner... I think the line "natives getting restless now" referes to a character in the film that is a Native American called "Chief" Bromden (Sampson), who McMurphy becomes close friends with... Near the end of the film the "Chief" stays awake for McMurphy who is on the above floor waiting for him to come down to attempt yet another escape, but sadly when he comes down and is taken to rest in his bed like the other patients Chief approaches him after the coast is clear and realises that he has had part of him brain surgically removed (a Lobotomy). I think the lyrics are very touching and honest and obviously reflect on some James Hetfield's own feelings and past experiences at the time...
