This song is one very amazing song. We may all interpret this differently. Sure it was intended to depict a soldier in war whom got himself blowup on a landmine. To others it could mean, A lonley kid who's been abused his whole life and wants his life to end. It could mean different things to people. Music is a powerful thing.

the whole song is about how someone got blown up by a landmine. His arms and legs got blown off and he's seeing his life flashing before him. He gets put in the hospital and he's on life support and he is in major pain....he wants to fucking die (ranting and reading how ya'll are metalheads...my fucking brother is in a damn band...I KNOW metal...and I know what each song means just by the damn lyrics...listen every once in a while)

dude, yes, its a good song,...but bragging about meeting hetfield and living near him? you're a wanker, as is he. Being a part of a good song doesnt make someone a good, or amazing person for that fact,... He's merely an egotistical arsehole, without much due cause. Albums of note include those before the black abum. Those are good,....not great albums at their best.
