If you notice, throughout the history of rock, almost all of the songs in which we consider "masterpieces" are split up into at least two different parts.(Master of puppets, sanitarium). This song is no different. The beauty, majesty, and sadness about the first part is capped off by the hard metal ending, reminding us all of what the song is about.
