The Reviews about Master of Puppets (page 7/ 9)
------ performed by Metallica

Cocaine | Reviewer: Bunny | 9/16/07

No matter what way you look at it, this song is about cocaine. I've listened to it thousands of times when I'm off my face on coke, and its so true. "taste me you will see, more is all you need"
I especially love the "chop your breakfast on a mirror" bit, cos it also symbolises, to me, that feeling on coke when you dont need food, you dont need oxygen, you just need more coke and everything will be great again.
Lars Killi, shut up.
It's actually funny that hardly any of you understand this song.

love this song | Reviewer: matt | 9/13/07

this song isnt specifically about drugs although it refers to them. its about someone or something else other than you controlling your life.

This is their masterpeice | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/5/07

This is their best song of all time. The opening riff is my favorite all time solo by metallica. This song defines them and is a powerful song full of powerfull messages. This song is exactly why you dont do drugs.

ok, ok | Reviewer: Brian | 8/30/07

well, thats right, but it´s not a subliminal message, it talking about drug, its a metaphoric song, the people knows what its talking about, Metallica rocks!!!

God? "Chop your breakfast on a mirror" Reffers to using cokaine at the time you wake up. After all, this is a song which describes drug addiction, no matter for how long you listened to them =) Funny though, they sing out of the drugs perspective, mocking the users. pwnt!

Specially vers 2, "needlework the way, never you betray, life of death's becoming clearer. Pain monopoly, ritual misery, chop your breakfast on a mirror." Is so heads on the nail on a strong drug addiction!

That one kid is retarted | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/15/07

Yea the lyrics are correct, about chopping one's breakfast on a mirror.
He is talking about how he snorts cocaine off a mirror instead of eating breakfast, which is an example of how much the addiction is controlling him, thus the song is aptly named "Master of Puppets". Note the aforementioned explanation as well as the line "Taste me you will see, More is all you need." It's about drug addiction, get over it.

well it wasnt that bad | Reviewer: That dude | 7/8/07

Metallica kick ass! They have done some amazing stuff and Master of Puppets has to be there best album!
The lyrics... well there are a few slip ups and the odd wrong word but having the lyric book that comes with the album would help make it correct.. other wise yeah good

MoP | Reviewer: Lars Killi | 7/9/07

Master of Puppets aint just a song about drugs, its about having someone or something else controlling you life which is not you.
Drugs is just a good exemple of one such things, but this is also a "be-yourself" song, and dont care about what they say, like Nothing else Matters.
Good song, and the lyrics are so good, this is a song which can change peoples life.
Thats the kinda songs Metallica makes better than anyone!
