Best Metallica song EVER!! | Reviewer: Bri | 8/29/09
I absolutely love this song!!! It's my fave off Load. It's just such a beautiful song. I feel so sorry for James, cuz because of their religion(Christian Scientist) they didn't believe in doctors/medicine, so she never went for treatment or anything. That must've been so hard for James to have to watch his mother die like that. Whenever I hear the line "I need your arms to welcome me, but a cold stone's all I see" it just really hits me. This song really moves me. I'm working on learning it on guitar.
LONG LIVE METALLICA!!!!

for me, this song reminds me of a reacent death in my family and whenever i hear this song it not only brings back the pain, but also the times we had before. i feel like i share something with metallica (james) and all the other people who feel something when they hear this song. long live metallica.
Sometime Nothing is Everything | Reviewer: Needle in a Haystack | 5/28/09
I became fond of Metallica after watching 'Some Kind of a Monster" documentary. Till then I knew little of story behing their songs.
It has given me an insight from their perspective to how life takes its turn and effects us emotionally, and how events and people that can make us happy and sad.
It is not what is done to us that makes us sad, but what is taken away from us.
Sometimes we feel nothing, and a songs like these sting us like a needle, and that whats we need at times..nothing else but a sting to remind us of the pain and loss.
Thanks to the band for these times..good times and bad.

Wow, for me this song continues to move me. Alot of people from my college question the fact that i love metallica so much, when anyone who listens to all of their songs realizes how genius the band is. Their music moves me. This song and Nothing else matters really helps me through depressed points in my life, especially when i lost my best friend in a car accident, i would perform nothing else matters to whoever would hear it and id bring tears to their and my eyes when i played it. Metallica is undoubtly the GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIME! The train of 'tallica will never stop!

Wut!? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/31/09
What are you talking about!?
His parents were divorced, and at a young age, he lost his mother to cancer. His father left them, he was a truck driver!
He made songs like "Mama said" "The god that failed" "Dyers eve" and "Until it sleeps", All the songs are about his parents.
He also made "Enter Sandman" from his nightmares when he was young. And not at least, Nothing else matters about his hard times.

That is song for Hetfield's mom 'couse she died when he was at 16 years old from Cancer, him dad too. It's cool balad but not the best of Metallica. The best /for me 'couse I love trash metal/ is First Album called Kill 'em All /especialy Whiplash/ , Ride The Lighting , Master of Puppets /!!!/ and ...And Justice for All . I really like Metallica , and i know all his History :)"
I hate to burst your bubble, but its called tHrash metal, not trash and knowing Metallica's first four albums does not mean you know all their history. If you have not heard of those albums, you must have been living under a rock for the last 20 years.
One of thier best Post Black Songs | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/22/09
I know that large numbers of Hardcore Metallica fans jumped ship after Black, and while I hold the belief that Load, ReLoad and St. Anger couldn't stand up to their Early works (Death Magnetic was on a par with Kill 'Em All though, in my opinion), this song is absolutley amazing. Same with Unforgiven II. They can still produce good work, and this song is every bit proof of that.
