Ride rules!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/3/09

Please guys, I can't believe that this kind of discussion is still growing among Metallica fans. It's obvious that after ride the lightning everything they came up with is a little inferior. I'm not denying the merits of and justice's,master's, black's, load's and reload's good musics, but I clearly mean that Ride is Metallica's master piece. And I hope you all agree!

Metallica | Reviewer: RO8!! | 7/11/09

I think we can all agree the 1st 4 albums competely and uttterly own. Every song and I mean every song from Phantom Lord to Creeping Death to Leper Messiah to The Frayed Ends of Sanity all rule anything they put ot after period. Black Album was good and has some great songs on it but it obviously went downhill from ther eith exceptions like The Unforgiven 1 & 2, etc.(don't know what happened to 3 lol). Death Magnetic is nowhere near their old stuff but definetly a step in the right direction and a respectable effort. Whatever your opinion Metallica owns and so does this solo, I just learned it. YEAH!!!!!!

Dudes, seriously, can we all just stop arguing? | Reviewer: YHVH | 5/13/09

Yeah, Metallica's gotten shittier in recent years, and yes, it started with the black album. However, that's not to say the black album's a bad album. It's damn good. Metallica's worst stuff is still better than an average band's best stuff. Unfortunately, we have two groups here. Purists, who think that metallica should have never moved on from their thrash metal roots, in which case, I can guarentee they probably still wouldn't exist today, Cliff would have never died, but only because there'd never have been a tour bus. And, group number two, the idiots who think that the black album is metallca's best work. It's not. It never has been, and never will be. grow up. It's by no means their worst, but it lead to a horrible, sickening fall, also known as St. anger. If load and reload had been put out by any other band, they would have been huge hits, but the problem was, people expected better from metallica. I personally think they should have pulled a ZOSO on them, and put them out without a name. The same applies to St. anger, but to a lesser extent. St. anger would suck no matter what. I personally think they peaked with master of puppets. Death magnetic...I still aint sure about that one.

Ride the lightning better than the Black album! | Reviewer: Bladeofdf | 4/3/09

RIDE THE LIGHTNING | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/2/08

there was not one bad song from metallica until ...And Justice For All. But that's not saying that it is a "bad album". Most songs on that album were good but that is when they first made "bad songs". Then "The black album (or self titled "Metallica")" came along with mainly bad songs but a few good ones. From then on out it started to get worse and worse. In my opinion they peaked at ride the lightning. Although if cliff never died things MAY have turned out different and they could have gotten better and better.

Ye Olde MetallicA | Reviewer: Kettle | 10/24/08

Metallica's albums were good when Cliff was there with em (R.I.P Cliff) than AJFA wasn't bad with Newsted and Black Album was a piece of fine work yet it wasn't as good as the previous ones. Than came the era when MetallicA lost their thrash roots and started playin somethin...different. Not so bad, but different. I don't appreciate that difference so I didn't like any of the albums after 1991 up till now. Death Magnetic fuckin rocks! \m/ >_< \m/ It's still a lot worse than albums before 1991 but a lot fuckin better than the shit they did in the 90's.

you guys make me laugh | Reviewer: Your Father who are not in heaven | 9/8/08

Ah yes the good old days. i likethe old metalica up till the black album I agree with jman they killed the band when james started to sing not scream like in this song. If i wanted to listen to some guy play his guitar and "sing" i would listen to John Denver.

GODS LISTENS TO SLAYER

jman is wrong | Reviewer: robbie chronic | 6/27/08

dude "load" is a masterpiece. first four are undeniable, yeah, and the black album is only deniable if you're a coward (which i am not), but when hetfield busts out that "don't want your BREATH, don't want your GREEEE-EEE-EEE-HEEE-EED" part in 'until it sleeps,' if you're not moshing then you don't like metallica. period. and my lifestyle WILL determine my deathstyle, thank you very much.
