is this about a true story? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/10/12
kind of a stupid question but did dave ever describe if he actually ever did this? cus i was watching a megadeth documnetary and he actually has a girlfriend named diana (he fired jeff young apparently because he thought he was having an affair with her)

Unless Dave's ex-girlfriend was named "Wake Up Dead," the song was most definitely not "named after" her as the previous poster asserts. And, the first part of the song has nothing to do with "what he would tell her if she found out." It just tells US what he did and what he told her before he did it.
On the other hand, the "Dave hater" who posted prior to this incredibly weak interpretation of the lyrics probably shouldn't consider a career as a critic, either. Dave starts singing to quickly???? What the hell does that even mean? He's singing at the same tempo as the song is being played. . . Do you mean there's not enough instrumental intro before the singing starts? What does that have to do with anything? Some songs start with vocals and no instruments at all. Other songs don't have any instruments at all. Hate Dave all you want - that has nothing to do with his music and I'm sure he could not possibly care less what any of us think of him.
Deep story here? Nah. Hardly. But, sort of a clever twist on words that was spun into a nice, short lyric around which MD managed to wrap a bunch of guitar work.
A response to the dick up top | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/5/11
Hey dumbass, its meant to be fast, its got feeling put into it. its named after his girlfriend at the time, who he was cheating on. this song is about if she finds out. The first part of the song is what he would say if he got caught.

Worst Lyrics Ever!!!!!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/10/11
This is probably one of my favorite megadeth songs but it has two glaring errors. The first is obvious right away, the lyrics. Why must Dave begin singing so damn quickly... I also simply don't understand what would possess someone to write something so generic and blatantly obvious. There is next to no meaning in this song. It's all about a guy coming home drunk who is afraid of his wife... What makes the lyrics even worse is the knowledge that 'Diana' is the name of Dave's guitar... How much more cheesy can you get? This brings me to the next problem in the song: Dave Shitstaine himself. Let's face it, he is a massive dick and the fact that he wrote these lyrics makes me lose that much more respect for him (that is, if I had any for him to begin with.) ... Cue all the enraged Dave fans hating on me...
old school megadeth - oh yeah | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/25/10
great unique song. as it's mostly instrumental. very cool lyrics/theme. i believe it is based on true mustaine history. let's face it, the guy is ultracooL... plays guitar like a mother, and sings great too. plus, he can hella write songs.
A very good song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/7/07
When I first heard this song, I just thought it was a good song, but when I listened the second time, especially the instrumental part was awesome and now this is one of my favourite Megadeth songs.
