It's about adultery, cheating on somebody. A sin of ecstasy that comes when shadows fall and always leaves when dawn arrives so that she may continue to silence suspicions and feed inhibitions.
but yes you are right, there is nothing describing the feeling of ecstasy in this song. Its mentioned to justify all of the other feelings caused by their secret deed.
personall it makes me think of someone I loved who had another man's baby. I never thought it would be too late but the pain this song is about is what we would feel, isn't it?

I belive Mustaine always is doing magics by his lyrics,for example in this song you feel a sad and cold mood and many other things that remind you misery,so you will never use ecstasy!I believe he is a psychologist
