A Little Truth Called Marilyn Manson | Reviewer: DD | 9/28/07
I agree with all of you on this point, that this song has very good lyrics that tell's the 100% truth. This is just one of the reasons why I love and agree with this song. Apart from this, the actually sound is far better than any other band's that I have heard recently. This shows a lot for what people preceive (sp?) as "Talent" these days. The whole song goes together perfectly, as well as the video. It just shows you that people are and have always been pushing the true talent out of the way for the fake stuff that shows no truth in it, just so that people can stay happy with their controlled lives.

i love this song
first of all marilyn manson is way smarter
than gb he also sets a way better example for young kids than our president
how sad is that?
a president should be a role model
sorry to say this but gb is an idiot
someone like mm should run for president and maybe wed get a better speech than one that contains the question "how many of you in here have four children?" that was stupid.
peace out <3

a damn good song | Reviewer: Mark | 4/28/07
i really like this song. It's quite heavy and appeals to my tastes more than other stuff. One mentionable point here is the references that manson is "not a slave to a god that doesn't exist". i support that wholeheartedly. Cause im not either.
Most religious people i know tell you that you either follow god or go to hell. i dont need to devote my life to a religion that attacks outsiders to tell someone to go to hell.
Go Manson
manson, the shiny golden god | Reviewer: josh andersen | 4/15/07
first off, i would like to say that this is an extremely well written song. brian tells it as it is. i like the quote of stalins that he used, "the death of one is a tragedy, but the deaths of millions is just a statistic," because it couldnt be any more true. for example, the vietnam war, american fatalities of the war were around 67000, and every body was screamin to bring the troops home.you wanna know how many vietnamese casualties there were? over 6.5 million, 20% of which, were innocent women and children. and heres another interesting fact, in 1972 there were more deaths on american highways, than there were in the whole vietnam war. and the war we are in right now, 3000 fatalities and the hippies want us to pull out because people are dying? its a fucking war!!! people die in war!!! and to be honest, this war has had the least casualties out of all the wars america has fought. not that im saying this war is good, butif you want to pull out, then pullout for the right reasons, not because people are dying, but because we are fighting this war so that some hick bastard can make a few extra bucks.
Fight! | Reviewer: Laurence | 2/15/07
Though I only dip in and out of Manson's work (not a dedicated fan in any sense of the word) - I am fond of this song particularly. A lot should be said for the delivery style, as there is an awful lot of faux-political dross currently drifting about on the rock scene.
Metal is a difficult medium to work with when you actually want to communicate an idea, as it tends to devolve into pure noise. Manson pulls it off - this isn't just lip service - and all those who suggest that the central theme ends up more simplistic as a result, bear in mind that a lot of the message concerns the energy with which it is delivered.
One in the pipe of all those who dwell in a braindead corporate consumer bubble!
"The death of one is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic" - Quotes Stalin, and is dead right - the human mind is incapable of comprehending suffering on such a large scale - it can only see the number.
Mindless Yanks who assume that the world is constantly kicking them in the teeth simply because of 9/11 should wake up and smell the concrete for this reason - 3000 civilians dead in the twin towers? Excuse me if I don't shed any tears - America MORE than owes its pound of flesh for the superstitious, bigoted attitude toward foreign policy which has cost so many lives over recent years.
Not that I don't recognise that there are intelligent, thinking people in the States - but more of them should be making themselves heard. You will be judged as your leaders act, not as you quietly think.
Listen to Manson and really learn something.
Inteligence & depth beyond the crashing guitars | Reviewer: Mikey | 1/13/05
I'm 45, a father of 2, a self made business man. I'm not the drugged out, death crazed kid that the Fascist Right Wing media try to claim is the Marilyn Manson fan.
The sound is raw, Manson screams the lyrics, the guitars crash, whine & bleed while the drum line thuds agresively. It's rock n roll at its rawest. All too often the Pillars of Our Comunity attach values to this song beyond any sensible interpretation. This is the problem Frank Zappa had with "Cocaine Decisions", a tale of personal disintegration & the damage it inflicted upon society. Yet all that certain up-tight, so called "Moral" people heard was the word "Cocaine". It tells you a lot about these idiots who claim to be the keepers of the flame for this country.
Here we have the same, Manson tells us that "The Death of one is a tragedy...the death of millions is just a statistic". What this demonstrates to us is clear. When a murder happens the knee jerk reflex is to condemn, to seek an outlet for revenge. Political careers have been made on such stands, despite the fact that often the people rushed through the courts, convicted & executed were innocent (yeah, no concern of yours until it's YOUR kid up on death row, eh?). But when millions die it is merely a statistic, whether it be due to a war-for-oil, or the shody medicines we get pushed onto us at every angle.
Manson saves our ears from yet more mindless fluff from the likes of Maria Carey, Britney Spears, 911, Boyzone, Back Street Boyz, or whatever band of talentless, uncontroversial group of actors that has been stamped out of the Corporate Cookie Cutter this week.
Manson tells it like it is. I'll take Marilyn Manson's view of the world over any sick politician who "Defends our country" by dropping bombs on innocent civilians, who's only crime is to live in an unstable region where there's a lot of oil.
Rock on!
