why argue about what the song is about, or whether he is goth or not? his music, his image can be interpreted in so many different ways. why must you all insist there is only one right way to interpret it? stop being silly. that aside, great song. haven't listened to any manson in some time.

Manson is not goth, this is a fact, get over it baby bats! nine inch nails, sexgang children, sisters of mercy, bauhaus, those are goth bands, hell, you can be goth and not even listen to goth music, hell, you could listen to rap, i dont give a shit, i dont even give two shits or a fuck if you do listen to manson, its just, hes metal not goth, quit adding to the stereotypes.
BY THE WAY, if i hear "dont break my heart and i wont break your heart shaped glasses" on a goth station one more time, i'll puke all over the highway. im not insulting you, i just DONT LIKE HIM, end of story!

This is a rather nice song, the music and lyrics are great, but this isn't their best song in my honest opinion. This song is third below 'Dried Up, Tied And Dead To The World' and 'Cake And Sodomy'

ok.. so i am totally in lovee with Marilyn Manson so this was the first ever song i ever heard from him about ohh....6 years ago. so 6 years ago i would've been..8. so i first heard the beautiful people, and just never stopped listening to his music. the beautiful people is a great song but i think it is his trade mark song. bc everyone knows this song. but i think his best song that he has is disposable teens. that is in my opinion the bestt song he has evr ritten. altho Marilyn Manson is 40 years old, i will marry him one day. even tho im only 13... he'll wait haha

this song is amazing and all, and it is truly one of my favorite of manson's, but i wouldnt say its his best. i prefer the stuff thats actually not on 'lest we forget', like 'the man that you fear', 'coma white', 'rock is dead' and 'i dont like the drugs (but the drugs like me)'.
his new CD, however, i do not care for in the slightest. i miss the old marilyn manson.
