You hit the nail right on the head! River of Deceit and Nutshell are two of the greatest songs ever written, and certainly two of my favorite songs from Layne, though it is hard to pick favorites.

Layne was the one of the greatest lyricists this world has ever known.

He is missed! Badly.

One of the best vocalist of all time in my opinion. If you listen to this song, and then "Nutshell" by Alice In Chains you will be a HUGE FAN :) Those are my fav's anyways :)

RIP LAYNE STALEY!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty cool for a side project, really deep meanings in the songs, not for every grunge lover but if you're the type of person who actually listens to the lyrics I think this is a pretty good album to check out

A true masterpiece. Or in other words, a part of a true masterpiece.
The awakening of emotions when listening to this CD is fantastic. It's healing your heart and it's cleansing your mind.

Mad Season is the ultimate in bringing you introspective thoughts on yourself. Especially if you are battling drug addiction or depression.

If you would but listen to all of this CD, and apply Mr Staley's lyrics to your situation NAD you want to change, it will help.

Personally I think the entire CD rocks!
