Another African hero is gone... | Reviewer: pastor Kenneth A. King | 10/24/07

"Heroes are the hope of a nation or a race. Each time we kill our heroes, we destroy our hope." The black race has lost another gem in our history again. I am really yet to get over the pain and the shock of Lucky's demise as a dogged fan of his music. Anyway, his death reminds all of us of the brevity of life and the endlessness of eternity. kennethaking@yahoo.com

Wish I could have met you, my childhood legend! | Reviewer: Barbara | 10/20/07

As a little girl, I always loved to hear my father replay over and over again, Lucky Dube's tracks, whenever he returned from touring the world. i would listen to differnt coulors, remember me, and prisoner and know that i also want to become a singer oneday... and sing like lUCKY DUBE, And whenever my father went back to the big world, i would hear the words " ...daddy whereever you are remember me in whatever you do i love you..." in my head and i would wait for the day my daddy would arrive. I never met you Lucky, but you've been apart of my child hood memories and i can't remember those day with out your song playing in my head. God great ly bless you, now you are safe in his bossom, where no one can harm you again. Rest in perfect perfect peace. I fell in love with you in 1993 and my heart has truly broken my God keep your children and my you live on in them and the rest of us who truely love you.

Will always miss you!! | Reviewer: Samson Kawuzi | 10/20/07

It is unfortunate that LUCKY is gone for ever!!! I can remember when he visited my country Uganda twice! He has been the most loved artist ever visited Uganda! His music is the only one playing on all the radio stations in Uganda here since he died! In dance halls and everywhere it is LUCKY's music! May his soul rest in eternal peace! AMEN.

why oh why | Reviewer: Nowai Dunbar in Liberia | 10/21/07

A friend once told me of a girl who cried every time she heard the song PRISONER..it reminded her of her experiences during the war in Liberia..the things she saw..the people she encountered..I wanted to know who could sing such a song that moved a person so much..that's when I first experienced you; LUCKY..as I listened to PRISONER, I cried and could only imagine what she had gone through..that night in the basement of a friend's home in New York City, I embraced your music and never looked back..I admired you so much..when I heard you came to my beloved Liberia, I kicked myself for not being in the country at the time to attend that concert..you brought comfort to a war torn country..if only for a few days..everybody that spoke of that concert did so with so much pride and joy..never had an african artist made so much impact on so many lives internationally as you did..especially to your fellow africans..so someone please tell me..WHY OH WHY would anyone want to take the life of such a talented person..someone who sang through the eyes of so many..sang the words of what so many were afraid to utter..so it is really true then what they say..the good always die too soon..rest in peace LUCKY..we will always miss you..but at least at least we take comfort in knowing that we can still hear your voice and messages any hour, any minute, and any second of any day
