The Reviews about Hello It's Me (page 1/1)
------ performed by Lou Reed

Hello it's me | Reviewer: Susan Bruce | 11/29/2008

I know you're going to get sick of hearing from me tonight but, I only just discovered this site - I was looking it up for an 8 year old girl I've just got to know who's mad about LR. The whole Songs for Drella thing makes me sick - okay, there's good stuff on it but, what was meant to be a tribute to Andy Warhol turned out to be a slanging match between Reed and Cale, the former mostly to blame I suspect, and his attitude stinks on some songs - this one "your diaries aren't a worthy epitaph" - like Warhol knew he was going to die and it was a premeditated attack. I've read the diaries and Reed hurt him badly. And as for the song about Valerie "I would have pulled the switch on her myself" - did he learn nothing from Warhol? He PAINTED the electric chair...

a class of its own | Reviewer: runingdog | 11/3/2008

this has to be one of lou's best and most poingnient song to date. an appology and a last goodbye to a great friend and a bitter grief of unfinished arguments.manny good and bad memories.of a crazy time.. a true and real worthy epitaph to a great and very missunderstood genius.i think andy would approve.rest in peace lost man.
