Then they seem to go into a story, saying that the girl is jealous of her boyfriend's lady friends, or maybe someone else's relationship, and the last two lines imply that maybe she's overdosed to settle her pain (very 'emo' by the way, you have the wrong understanding of what 'emo' is anyway), only it never works. I agree with whoever mentioned that the friend in the first part of the chorus "Living behind your wall" is trying to tell her to come out from that shelter and actually let yourself fall for once. And the second non-chorus stanza they talk about how the summer is ending, and how maybe it all is ending too, but that her close friends, like the one who'd be singing this song, would always stick around, no matter what. They also mention the death of dreams, "With all these dreams/That didn't make the grade" (also 'emo') In the last three lines of this stanza, he's telling her to move on. But everythings changing around her and she can't accept it. The chorus seems to be be telling her that she has to come out from behind her 'walls' and get on with life.
