I'm a baby boomer who loved pop/rock/soul/country and kept current until 1990. The state of music since then is pitiful and I rarely listen to the radio anymore. Last summer (2004) I heard this song and it caught me......it sounded like maybe Lionel Richie. It WAS Lionel Richie......wow! Great song, great beat, terrific lyrics......"Truth was true and lies were lies, we thought love would never die"
