HORRIBLE?! pt II | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/24/07
Now I will admit that I could simply not buy their album. But Sabaoth is obviously not getting the point. Any fourth grader taking some sort of American History class would know that for a democracy to work, popular soverignity has to be upheld. I do not want to sit listening to the radio and hear a winey song about our government. We have bigger problems to deal with than that (like the current babyboomer retirees who are going to depleat the national social security and medicare/medicade fund). Dealing with the song, the "lies" and "mistakes" and whatever else the song talks about is infact not lies at all. Do you even remember the morning where thousands of fellow Americans died?! Do you have no shame?! Denying September of 01 is like denying the hollicost (like the current Iranian regeme). Sabaoath has obviously never steped up to the challenge to serve our country in the uniform. "I've made it clear, Madam President, that the war against terrorism is not a war against Muslims, nor is it a war against Arabs. It's a war against evil people who conduct crimes against innocent people" -GW Bush.

Politics | Reviewer: Sabaoth | 10/6/07
If you don't like the fact that these amazingly talented musicians are pointing out the obvious inadequacies of a corrupt government, then simply don't listen to them. Noone is forcing you to repeatedly listen to this track, nor did anyone force you to buy the album. If artists make pointless music with meaningless lyrics, then they're wasting everyone's time. Music is supposed to be an expression of opinions and emotions, not what's it's becoming: a mass-marketed money-grabing scheme. At least Linkin Park are staying true to their style and message.

I agree with you, HORRIBLE?!, in that I wish artists would not put politics in songs. But you ruined this song for me, cos I thought it was a classic Linkin Park break-up song like Points of Authority or Place for My Head. Think about it. I like the song, but put the message in a political context and I hate it. Change the context to classic LP, and it is a wonderful, rollicking song.

I agree with you, HORRIBLE?!, in that I wish artists would not put politics in songs. But you ruined this song for me, cos I thought it was a classic Linkin Park break-up song like Points of Authority or Numb. Numb is a parent-hater, and Points could have many interpritations. Think about it. I like the song, but put the message in a political context and I hate it. Change the context to classic LP, and it is a wonderful, rollicking song. And it is not like System of a Down cos they would never slam the administration protecting our country while other people lie to our faces about. Hey! New interpritation for all yall conservatives. Hillary is a theif and a hypocrite!!!

Why do artists today decide to input their political views on an unwilling audience? I cannot listen to the cd because its so demeaning to the country. I think that these kids are just as bad as the Dixie chicks. This song is an obvious anti-bush song. This country has problems, yes, but songs like this are not going to do anything but instill a sense of discontent to our wonderful democracy. To Linkin Park: "shut up and sing" because you can always just move to a 3rd world country and see how 'great' it is there... and then come back and tell me America is messed up.

Incredibly awesome. Even more awsome if one listens to "Hands held high" before it. I luv the combo.

I love this song. It's so political, pushes the boundaries of Linkin Park. Kind of reminds me of System Of A Down in a way. I love it!
