Linin Park and other people need to start speaking out agianst bush more often a lot. My dad was killed by an i.e.d. in iraq and i miss him everyday but im american and the rest of the world keeps blaiming the average working class people. Blame the upper 3% of the income about 100,000 people tell them to get theyre heads out of theyre asses and impeach bush. And we know why were still there is because of oil and money ill tell you now we are not there to give freedom and 4312 american soldiers have died to give bush and cheney theyre oil we ought to impeach bush a.k.a. mr.########. I hope the president gets us out of iraq as soon as possible please oboma win for the sake of the world dont keel over when you showdown agianst mccain this november please dont lose we have to lose the entire republican party and restart really we shouldve just captured hussien and gotten right out of PEACE PLEASE.

Political Songs | Reviewer: Miss Political | 6/21/08
This song ranks right up there with all the great songs that discuss current issues in today's American Society. There are many, Linkin Park's Hands Held High ranks at the top. It is a new kind of anti-war song that supports the troops unlike the anti-war songs of Vietnam.
If you really like this song and what it has to say, I encourage you to also check out these others:
Jewel "America"
Creed "In America"
No Doubt "Tragic Kingdom"
Matchbox20 "How Far We've Come"
Good Charlotte "In This World (Murder)"
Good Charlotte "The World Is Black"
Green Day "American Idiot"
Papa Roach, "Tyranny of Normality"
Hoobastank "The Rules"
Hoobastank "Born To Lead"
Hoobastank "The First Of Me"
The United States has become a land of followers (we follow what the politican's claim, what government says we need for out own protection [the patriot act]) all of which has led us down a path that had reduced out own freedoms in a country that was built on those freedoms.
It is time for the Amercian public to STAND UP (just like Trapt's song) and to fight for what is left of our rights! It's time for the people in the United States to lead for themselves and stop following what people say is "good for them". That is how the government and other organizations with power will strip away are rights, and they have already succeeded with the patriot act that was passed into legislation.
Get out there, get educated, use all channels necessary to gain as much information about the world through various sources. Knowledge is Power, the more you know, the better off you will be the next time someone or some organization says we should have you implanted with a little device in the hand that will keep your money safe.
Think about it...

I love this song. Although I think some of you are missing the point. I am not someone opposed to other opinions, or try to persuade someone. In concurence to that though, i do have an opinion of my own. I think that and i aslo think the song is against the war. The reason we went in was for so called "weapons of mass descruction" these same WMD that were supposed to be there werent. ( this was suggested by the UN before the war even started) and we got rid of Huessein. We are fighting a lost cause. and although we cant "just leave" we are slowly killing off our own people. The death toll reached 4000 last weeek! IMPORTANT: >>> I dont understand why we are going into Iraq to help solve all of their problems when we cant even handle the problems in our contry. Our economy and gas and money and everything is outta control, yet we are putting our main concerns in other countries!?!?!? Explain that to me. Email me with your opinion if you'd like. I'd like to hear them

I support this song. Everyone who dislikes it, needs to shut up and actually listen to it. They aren't only talking about the president, but also the troops in Iraq, because the president. Linkin Park, you continue to amaze me.
Iraq. | Reviewer: Never you mind. | 2/16/08
You know this song is true down to every line, people are dieing out there in iraq and we can do fuck all about it because we can't. If i could go out and fight with all the british and american troops i fucking would because this so called ' war ' really is getting on my fucking nerves when all we can do is try and sort things out but nothings actually happening. I have a friend thats been to iraq a few times, hes seen his own people die, hes killed people and he has been shot at but what i wounder is it doesn't have to be like this can't the iraqi troops actually admit that they have been defeated but all we can do is keep trying. The line ' When the rich wage war its the poor that die ' why is that quote so true ? I'll fucking tell you why because when saddam or who ever fucking wants to in iraq starts a war they have power they have money, they can get pretty much what they want just because if the people of iraq didn't do it they'd get slaughtered by the followers of that particular person whos pushing them to do stuff they don't want to do. I'm going to go in the army when i'm old enough just to prove everyone that if you try you can succeed and you can be respected also i want to bring peace to all the countries out there who decide they have more power. This is one good song by linkin park proberly my favourite at the minute just because it contains so much emotion and truth.
Hell With Iraq | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/12/08
It seems America doesn't know how to keep themselves out of war anymore; Bay of Pigs, Vietnam, Korea, Iraq. I understand we were after people, we got Saddam and abolished the dictatorship they had WTF are we still doing there?! hell with them, we've payed a price with human life to for some shit country. i could care less what happens to Iraq itself. the soldiers over there now are just trying to keep some crap country out of its own trouble. This song is a good picture of how so many people feel towards this BS. I blame most of it on Bush along with the fuckers who organized 911, Saddam and osama.
awesome | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/11/08
This song is very deep. I'm pretty young, but I have my own perspective of war. In this song, Linkin Park explains how war is useless. In life, war does help solve things, but it takes many lives away. People shouldn't have to be afraid of being blown away while they are walking down the street. Many leaders need to realize what they are putting their country into when they go to war. This song rocks and Linkin Park did a good job with it!
