That's exactly what I'm sure the band must have been going for, then, because there is no depth to these lyrics. Although it is a common theme, I'm sure any reviewer here could write more meaningful lyrics on the same exact topic. There is no message. It's not really tragedy. A tragedy is not being with the person in the first place. Still, many people who look at the charts really relate. My ex-husband and I have been together since we were 14, we got married, had 3 beautiful children together and then unfortunately he strayed. My ex was bery guarded and when ever he let me in to dsee hte real him it scared him. It seems to me, that when an artist can make people HEAR the hurt and pain in your voice, that is good. But it takes a much stronger artist to make the listener FEEL the hurt and pain and apply those feelings to their own life. Great vocals, and an even greater message in the lyrics.
