No if's and's or but's about it. They proclaim to be christians. The Song is about God, i say this based on the line,"You calm the storms, and you give me rest." I doubt that someone is talking about there boyfriend or girlfriend Calming a storm for them metaphorically or otherwise. I personally love this song very much and i thank Lifehouse for writing it about our Lord and Savior. Also to the second gentlman or Lady that mentioned getting your own faith, I am a nondenominational christian. I have my own faith, everyone's faith is different. An to correct you Faith is a verb, it means to believe in something even when there is no physical evidence so if you are going to say "get a thought that's your own, and a system of belief that doesn't parrot someone else's pablum that's been crammed down your throat, that you parrot back at the least opportunity." than you show do some research about christianity before you talk about us. I have my own thoughts on my RELATIONSHIP with god, i dont believe in religion, i believe in relationsip. I believe everyone has a relationship with God, good or bad. In the end when a non-believer is in a situation where they a certain of death what do they usually do?...Pray to God, someone they might not even believe in. Just because you havent experienced the full effects of a relationship with God in your life does not mean he isn't there. And it definitely doesnt mean you are "Parroting" someone elses ideas. Every idea you have ever had in your life probably came from someone else first. The percentage of people coming up with an original idea is probably about 3-7 out. Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. Now im sure if you look deeper there is soo much more meaning.. and to those that stated that just because they are a Christian band that it doesn't mean every song they sing is based on Christ.. you are totally correct..however im sure if you did some research that you would find that this one is most certainly one of their songs based on Christ. most Christian bands would love nothin more than to praise God in all their songs even if it's not 100% clear in their lyrics..
