Wow...thats all I can say. THese kids are such nerds lmao unbelieveable. I dont know why you know so much about lord of the rings and honestly...i dont really want to find out.

Pce~~

awesome song :D | Reviewer: lenny | 12/8/07

This is such a beautiful song, I love it.
I think that this song is about the ultimate forces of good and evil/dark and light/etc that other people have also mentioned. Sure, there's definitely elements of lotr in this, but I don't see this song at all as being created to, say, express Tolkien's wonderful story. If so, then how do angels of AVALON fit into it? I haven't read the books in about 6 years, but I don't recall Avalon ever being a part of Middle Earth...

Wow | Reviewer: Maj | 12/2/07

Seriously, It's interpretation, Patrick that's what you think, actually tbh here, just because they say ringwraiths doesn't mean shit. Lets say the songs about the fight between good and evil, which is what I believe. Knowing LZ were imaginative and great writers, brilliant at that. This song could just as easily be about solar eclipses. Wraiths have been around for along time, also known as ghosts, shades, etc. Shade in Latin is umbra. The umbra of solar eclipses is round or in other words, a ring! So that could be just as right as saying it's from LOTR. But to really just destroy all of the LOTR fans hearts, go read The History of the Kings of Britain, and learn about it. If you would like I can tell you why this would tie into this song more than anything. KTHXBAI

Yes,it IS about LOTR because he says ringwraiths, plus, maybe u should get off ur ass and look it up, the eastern glow- that is a reference to gandalf at the battle of helms deep. idiot

you guys are idiots | Reviewer: zolander | 11/28/07

Though they were fans of Lord of the Rings, I can definitely point out by fact that Battle of Evermore is not about LOTR. IF any of you ever decide to get off the bandwagon or stop being f*cking dorks on Lord of the Rings and actually read some of their interviews, books, magazines, and/or videos, you will see that the members of the band had a fascination with fantasy much like Lord of the Rings, however, that does not indicate that the song is directly related to Tolken's work. As the previous thread before mine states, its a song over the battle of day and night. True Zep fans know this because LZ has mentioned it in videos, books, magazines, etc and not just wikipedia. GET A LIFE YOU LOSERS/ I WILL SEE THOSE PRIVILEGED ENOUGH TO ATTEND THE CONCERT THERE IN LONDON!

Hmm... | Reviewer: Joe | 11/4/07

Of course, it's possible that Led Zep wrote this song without thinking about it too much-judging by the quality of the lyrics, that's entirely possible. :P I wonder why people can't just listen without ripping the song apart like they have...

ok this is pathetic | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/14/07

stop scrutinizing LOTR from this song, lotr is just fine and yes he is talking about helms deep if you look into the lyrics carefully (lint 5). Because that is when the horses came from the valley, besides this is an awesome song, AMAZING SONG and you should be ashamed for mocking it you bastards led zeppelin is the greatest band there is and im not some wannabe. Led zeppelin takes careful composition if you listen to some certain songs like the lemon song for instanse, so please, just shut up and enjoy led zeppelins music :D

The only elves that were at the Battle of Pelennor Fields were Legolas, Elladan, and Elrohir. and you're correct, the Galdrim did not fight at Helm's deep in the book.
if your gonna scrutinize the song about LOTR then at least know the movies from the books.

Song | Reviewer: Melk | 9/23/07

Side by side does not mean Helm's Deep. That was all the movie when the elves came, in the books it doesn't happen. The elves come to Pellenor Fields but not to Helm's Deep. It is not about LoTR, although things from lotr are mentioned, it is about the eternal struggle between good and evil.

When was it | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/13/07

Kids don't read much nowaday's cuz of all the other mediums (media) they have to spread their time between, so at least the making of the films brought the story to my boys. Quite funny, though, when two days of almost non-stop babbling by my youngest finally ended when he said "Dad, you know Lord of the Rings?" "Yes, son" "Well, when did it all actually happen - I mean, what year was it?"
