From a Zepp. Lifer | Reviewer: tracie | 9/5/08
I fell in love with Zeppelin at age 10. i am now 40, Zeppelin has been a great part of my life there is probably a different Zepp song for every memory to say these men are masters of music is a understatement. ten years gone is by far the most perfectly writen song every thought of or penned to papper cheers to James Patrick Page,John Paul Jones, John Henry Bonham for such beautiful melodies.cheers to Robert Anthony Plant for lyrics and phrases to make us dream and cry. I THANK YOU LED ZEPPELIN
for making my life bearable! And being the soundtrack to my life.
great song, not their best | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/12/08
great great song, but you gotta remeber robert plant is singing a duet in this song with a scots man who is the singer that hits all the high notes. And bassically introduced mr paige to the mandolin guitar... all hail the scots!

incredible genius song.maybe just the best their song.
so confessoinal.so touchful.
that song proves that rock'n'roll can be such art as Mozart's music.
....still makes me cry | Reviewer: kevin | 1/1/08

amazing! | Reviewer: Brig | 12/31/07
i just started getting into zep about 6 months ago and have almost exclusevly listened to them since. i don't know how i missed this song until today but i knew it was great just by the title, then... it totally blew me away! i was on a 13 hour road trip (in one day) and i had to pull over to write down some thoughts that this song surfaced. listened to it about fifteen times on the trip and now i'm researching it online instead of sleeping! i'm 30 and it's been ten years since i "lost" (in some sense of the word) a loved-one and... if my calloused heart could sing, this is what it would sound like. awesome!
open to interpretation | Reviewer: josh | 12/11/07
i think this song is a great representation of our deepest desire to love and be loved. who hasnt lost somebody they love? it hurts. sometimes you can never let something go completely. but its better to remember the good things that youve shared with that person. it heals you. i think thats what plant was trying to say.
"changes fill my time, baby thats allright with me. in the midst i think of you, and how it used to be"
at the same time whats great about this song is that even if you arent dealing with that same kind of hurt, the lyrics are broad enough to reach out to people in all kinds of situations.

Great song! | Reviewer: sean | 12/4/07
to tony, downy is like feathers did you ever hear of a downy coat or pillow, which makes sense because hes talking about a bird, and it is each our seperate ways, i read the lyrics on an old vinyl my father has, and yes, this song is a masterpeice i still dont understand why its not as popular as other zeppelin songs..
Here it goes | Reviewer: Never Knowin | 11/28/07
Music is meant for people to make it into whatever they want it to be... a songs lyrics could be compatible with many things in an individuals life! Deep music lyrics and good guitar players make such an amazing duetic collision in music, if everyone were to listen to this, they would relate it to something in their life.... Jimmy Page should smack rap artists with a guitar over their head. Agreed? This is truly music, rap is over-rated!
Lyrics | Reviewer: Tony | 11/20/07
Seem to be off.
"Flying skies of fortune, each our separate ways"
I'm pretty confident after listening to it with headphones he's saying "each HAVE SEVERAL ways." I'm not sure about the flying skies of fortune part either. Sounds like blind skies of fortune
"On the wings of maybe, downy birds of prey"
What the hell is downy? Maybe downing but it's unclear.
"But as the eagle leaves the nest, we've got so far to go"
I think it's far to grow. Anyway, great song.
epitome of zeppelin | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/15/07
it doesn't get any better than this. Entire albums, entire careers of artists pale in comparison to this one song!
